Given his Mr Glass status I cant see any club paying 8M for him.

Jozo is a good player but if we could get a replacement in for less and use the rest of the profit to buy Roberts I’d do it.

Mate, Simunovic was signed during the Deila years - a time when we had Carlton Cole and Colin Kazim * Richards at the club.

You honestly think the board gave him the best part of £6m to spend on an untested defender? C'mon man

 

Everywhere says £5m+ .. where did you get £3m from? Did you just decide that was the price..

 

I'm with Pad on this. I don't think we would have paid anywhere near £5m up front for any player at that point. My guess is 2-3m with appearance bonuses that could equate to £5m over time. Being in the CL the last two years has probably triggered additional payments

If the reports are true on the amounts possible from this window then I would target Italy for a centre back and a goalkeeper from Europe I'd never touch epl championship is a lot better priced down south but can they make a mark in europe .... hooper stood up commons did to that's was over five years ago now though football changes rapidly

Anyhoo, £8m would be a good bit of business, all things considered..

Hopefully a wee bidding war takes it up to £10m.

 

Got to remember we just punted Virgil for £13m+ ... spending £5m-£6m on the next big thing had to be done, we demanded it.
