    He's never impressed me. I think people just like the idea of a big Eastern European centre back, plus he's lived off that Miller tackle, but in reality he's just not that good.

    Disappointed in this lad these days, he was showing a lot of promise at one point.

    I feel as though the injuries have affected him, but still no excuse for a performance like that one today.

    People have short memories. He’s the only one in our defence that could slot into a better team than ours right now. He has a huge amount of ability and a blip in form doesn’t change that.

    Imagine being a centre back in front of Craig Gordon. No wonder he looks as if he lacks confidence.

    I’m the guy’s biggest fan but a mixture of the lack of celebration at the League Cup Final and his display today points to there being something going on behind the scenes.

    Whether that’s a club being in contact with him, he’s taken the public pursuit of another centre half personally or something else - * knows.

    What it doesn’t mean is he’s * overnight, it means he needs to sort his heid out.

    He's still quite young for a CB, so I'll give him a little more slack than Boyata (who is dreadful). He still needs to pick it up though. A LOT!

    The celebrating doesn't really bother me as he's always been quite timid and reserved whenever the player's have been going for it..

    Something isn't right though. I do wonder if it's injuries or feeling something as he's went from excellent to abysmal. That getting caught with ball's going over his head has happened all season to him..

    Even last week getting rolled and not challenging some 7 stone ringing wet teenager in the last minute..

    Think his head is gone, either he wants to go or is unsure but time to drop him for a few games. He is an excellent defender though so hope its sorted soon, Ajer looks our best centre half at the moment.
