Him and Debo is our best pairing just now, big Erik has looked out of sorts recently.

Jozo just keeps it simple and reads the game so well at the back, makes it look easy.

    Is he fully fit?

Hope he's back in the team as soon as possible, can't remember him really putting a foot wrong all season.

I'd prefer Boyata to partner him for now. Boyata can have shaky moments in games but is generally solid.

When Erik has an off game, he really has an off game. His level has been dipping for a while now.

Long term though, maybe we need a new partner for Jozo.

For me, he should be our first choice cb, he's the best on the ball and can play out or dribble out with a bit of tempo. The other 2 aren't as good with the ball and it really hampers the style we're meant to be playing.

Think the defence is calmer with him in it

Was coming in here before his goal anyway but what a difference with him in. Brilliant tackles, cool on the ball. Won everything in the air and bangs in the goal to give us the lead..

    Our best centre back..

    Loving him being back here..

:notworthy great game, back to his best right away on his return. Wonder if he'll get in the Croatia team soon as he captained their younger sides so will be well known.

Not just the goal, he's made some difference to the defence. He's a level above Sviatchenko for me

Amazing how opinions can change over a period of months.

The talent was there. Writing him off after a season racked with injuries would have been silly. Glad that move fell through.

Big quiet unassuming character who can quickly turn into a hard * when needed. I love him.

We look so comfortable with him at centre half. His sliding tackles are class, but not rash..

Going forward he's positive. Likes to keep it simple using both feet and has improved tenfold in the air. Can't mind him losing one areal challenge..

Brilliant player and one, when fit, who should never be out the side..

Quite quick, excellent in the tackle, bit of class on the ball, he's improved in the air too, when he first signed it was a glaring weakness although in hindsight that could have been his injured leg which was hairline fractured or something so would have been causing him pain and probably unbalanced him.

Spot on about him in the air, and was slightly on the weak side. Not now..

His pace is also a big factor in us not being exposed..

Aye I always mind you in particular going on about his heading.

Maybe his ankle injury was hampering his jumping ability ?

When he first signed and was playing he was awful in the air, kept letting the ball bounce and it was going over him or he was mis-timing jumps. But it probably was due to the injury as that would explain why he wasnt just running and jumping and winning headers he must have been getting pain when jumping or landing and was making a * of himself.

But this season he's just been heading like a normal defender.
