Aye, when you look at * like McCormack, Andre Gray and any Tom, * and Harry from the Championship going for £10million etc, like even Stefan Johansen now would probably cost £10million if a team like Newcastle or Hull wanted him.

That should make guys like Griffiths and Armstrong £10million players.

Even that big fat nugget Grant Hanley went for £5million I think, he couldnt lace the boots of Boyata never mind Jozo or Erik.

I think people are getting a bit carried away thinking 6million is nothing. We've only ever sold about 5 players for more than 6million.

Just to clarify no way would I sell him for 6.

 

the market is has changed a lot more since when we sold van dijk,even though it was only few sesons ago.a good showing in europe next year and a few caps for croatia could easlily double the 6million.add an other 6 million because of inflation.i expect the celtic board to move with the times and expect more for our players.theres even talk of 30million for dembele.jozo has aso come from one of europes finest academies,right up there with ajaxes.

 

Prices have gone through the roof in recent years and continue to rise. Snodgrass, who turns 30 this year just went for £12million to West Ham.

In comparison to 2005, £20million is the new £6million, £6million is the new £2m, £2m is the new £500k.

The current going rates are £6-12million for a good English Championship class player depending on how much the selling club is desperate for money. Simunovic, Sviatchenko, Armstrong, Sinclair, Rogic and Griffiths are good ages and would get into any English Championship team and given we don't need money I think it would mean we'd only accept bids of near £10million for them.

Bitton would be worth £6million for me as would have a Stefan Johansen under a longer contract. Useful good players but not actual starters.

Aye I think so, if we had Van Dijk now he'd be worth £20million minimum.

Ryan Mason went for something like £8million as well did he not in the summer, a bang average player. Nobody on here would swap him for Armstrong. McCormack again, would anyone swap Griffiths for £12million McCormack? Would you swap Sinclair for £12million Snodgrass?

The new TV Deal I think went up on average about £30million per club. It meant everone was guarenteed £100million+, League winners about £140million so they all became flush with money because now they could all expand their wagebills £20million per season.
