Looks a formidable big guy, cool as a cucumber.

  1. Outstanding again today. Have a feeling he's going to be a class act.

  2. Looks very unphased by things. Not seen that since Van Dijk, which is a good sign. Will be good to see him get a proper run out against top class opposition during the week.

  3. Excellent today again. That failed move to Torino is shaping up to be correct afterall.

  4. Really liking him and Erik at the back. Well balanced and youthful.

  5. Aye I am becoming very impressed with him too lately, seems to have good defensive qualities but it's his calmness with the ball at his feet that really makes him stand out and he's very comfortable passing it forward into decent positions for midfielders. Thought him and Sviatchenko were a great partnership today.

  6. Absolute beast this guy and he's only gonna get better.

Rumours of a few EPL vultures circling already, probably next to head to Southampton.

  7. I totally agree I think Big Jozo and Erick look like a real quality combination at the heart of our defense and unlike the Van Dijk and Denayer pairing one we can hopefully keep together for the long term. Kolo Toure is a nice addition for the short term but I think Simunovic and Sviatchenko are our future at center back.

  8. Do we think he's better than Erik?

  9. Tough one. I don't really know how to elaborate on that though:39::giggle1:

  10. I think Erik is more of a warrior and will lay his body on the line to block any shot. Jozo does seem to have decent positional sense and can clear a ball. What he is better at than Erik I think, is ball control with his feet. He looks very comfortable on it and loves to make incisive forward passes. Love that attacking instinct. It's weird, Kolo has been immense for us apart from two mistakes against BMG but I'm going to miss the Jozo Erik partnership on Tuesday.

  11. I think he will be after a season or two... We've got to remember, he's only 22 :88: :RedFinger

  12. 22 mate:84:

He's a lot more technical than him but Erik is my kind of defender, throws himself in front of everything, not scared to take one for the team and he reads the game exceptionally well.

I dont care if he becomes better than Erik to be honest as long as its here and we see them together for a couple of years yet, they have the makings of a top class CB pairing.

  14. * news.

Really wanted to see him and Erik at the back against top opposition.

  15. Thats pish.

  16. Wimp. Gets a sore knee and he can't play. Billy McNeill used to play with two broken legs and still won MOTM.

  17. It's a bummer he's not playing but if it means he'll be better off and it boosts our league and cup chances then it's all good.

  18. Erik says he's fitter than him :101:

  19. I see BR said it was too tight a turn a round and there managing his games. also that kolo been injured for a while.
if true why did he play him Saturday knowing kolo probably wouldn't recover in time and that jozo wouldn't be able for tomorrow after Saturday. very poor management.
