As Everton found out with (excuse my french) Wier and Stubbs you don't neccesarily need amazing players at CB to form a solid, winning combo. Just ask Leicester with Huth and Morgan.

So glad he stayed. He has been like a new signing. Completely different to the player we saw for spells last season.

  12. Really like the look of him.

    Simuchenko is the future.

  13. He has looked good.

He does need to get some few games under his belt before a proper test.

  14. No he's not. He's the same. He will improve though like all the players. Seen enough of his small amount of game time when he first came in before his injury that he had the qualities to be a right good CH for us. There's a lot of players that a lot of folk are unable to see their attributes. Forrest is another glaring example.
Great news he seems healthy and over his injury. Got high hopes but always had.

  15. how good is the fact he can come in and get game time, while at the same time resting KOLO TOURE, and it looks like everybody is happy, and also not forgetting how well 0'connell done to get us into the champions league.

I think he is going to be groomed to take over Kolo's role next season just happy we have 4 CB (including O'Connel) who can be relied on,

  16. Can't believe there were some on here saying his distribution was just as bad as Boyata and that he hadn't looked any better than him in general. He is streets ahead of him, that is fairly obvious.

  17. He's looked really....really good since stepping back in..

Excellent on the ball, comfortable and looking solid..

  18. Sitting next to him on the train into Dalmarnock for the game on Wednesday, was pretty random haha.

Yeah agree with the sentiments, glad he stayed.

Sony think there was much malice in the whole torino saga, think a fair fee was tabled and we let him go along to see what was what. Would have just been one of those moving on moments in his career. Don't think either Celtic or jozo was ever holding any ill feelings.

But yeah been wanting to see Erik and jozo together since january, and its starting to look good. With toure being the real experience and O'Connell as the youth prospect, that is 4 centre backs that I don't think anyone will bat an eye at any starting.
Shift on boyata and Ambrose before the end of the season and make room for someone else to replace toure next season. Perfect.

Tierney at left back long term and gamboa hopefully going to turn good. All that is left is a long term keeper option (timo horn?) and a dominant midfielder
