I hope he comes back and blows everyone away. He must be rated highly enough when he can command a fee of 3.5 million. I never wanted to sell in the first place. It will be a blessing in disguise. At least we will not see Efe as cover.

Haven't really seen the talent that others have on him. In fact I've probably been more impressed by O'connell than Simunovoc.

That said, i don't think there's an issue in the Torino move falling through. We accepted a bid and he appeared to accept an offer. There's no indication that he threw the toys out the pram at any stage or orchestrated a move.

Rodgers recently said he is back in training did he not? Think once the Barcelona game is done with we may see him feature as a sub a few times to get him up to speed.

Also love how a few(not many) are very quick to put the boot in him. Some of our fans do this all too often and don't give players a chance. This isn't exactly like the scepovic deal where he told us he didn't want to be here etc. The club accepted the offer and he went over to conclude the deal with the impression celtic were happy to move him on. Hardly a efe or bobo situation where they refused to move. Guy looked at options it didn't work, now confirms he is 100% committed to the club and fans

To me it seems pretty obvious that he was wanting to stay but the club got an offer they couldn't refuse.

People having a go at him for wanting to leave and saying he won't be giving everything for Celtic...have a word with yourself. It's sad as *.

No one forces a player (or his agent) to accept the offer though - see Efe Ambrose as an example.

The money we (supposedly) got offered for Jozo & Efe were vastly different though.

    That's not the point though.

Celtic accepted offers for two players, one decided he had no interest in leaving, the other one travelled to Italy, had two medicals, agreed personal terms and is only still a Celtic player because the financial details of the transfer could not be agreed.

I don't buy that whole pish he then tweeted, or messaged. He wanted to leave.

Don't see a problem here. Was injured, club wanted to punt him, Torino * about and now he's back..

A lot of eastern block player's settle well in Italy and we made it clear we were happy to punt him.....why would he mind leaving?

I haven't seen any attitude problem from him to date..

Probably because he thought the club weren't too keen on him, given the fact they accepted an offer.

He said a few weeks ago that he didn't want to go and I believe him.

It seems pretty obvious that he was wanting to stay? He got on a plane and went to Italy to have a medical ffs :smiley-laughing002:

No one could make him do that. It's pretty obvious he wanted to leave.

I agree with what Joe Ledley said when he left, if a club accepts a bid for you you're unwanted and you're better off going.

If we could have got 3.7 million when he was unfit, lets get him fit and see what he is worth in January then punt him, i would agree he wanted to leave but offer playing in Italy to most if not all of our players they would be offski too, SPL or Serie A

    Exactly..

Are people thinking he won't be as committed or will put the same effort in (if played) now that he's had to come back? Scepovic it isn't..

What I'm saying is the club might've been less reluctant to show a player the door for £200k? which we got offered for Efe than they are for £3.7m which we got offered for Simunovic.

Since when did Ledley think that he "wasn't wanted"? :97:

I'm sure Lennon would have given his ginger left nut to keep his trusted midfield lieutenant at the club.

The board though I'm sure had other ideas......

I don't get what your point is mate, both offers were accepted by Celtic.

Ambrose rejected the chance to go, Simunovic agreed all aspects of the deal to leave.

    Exactly what I'm getting at.

The club were happy enough to get rid of Jozo, don't blame him for accepting the offer if he felt unwanted.

Ambrose has is fit and fine and was playing with the development squad pre bid. Knowing fine well he's absolutely not wanted whatsoever..

After all the * ups, and disaster after disaster coming directly from that dumpling.... How he's no been embarrassed to stay and pocket a wage beats me..

I can't stand him even more for it now. Anyone that feels sorry for him is a clown..
