A. His injury is a bit more complicated - He seems to have been out a lot longer than anticipated
B. We are lining up a fairly big transfer.
C.we are banking cash to fund a permanent contract for Roberts

If it's the last two it's disappointing as we have only spent 5Mil on actual transfers so far. And sold scep for 1, johanson for 2. Did we get anything for CKR I'm sure we did. Plus heaps away Stokes, mulgrew n stack of fringe n more to follow prob Commons efe etc.

Strange one if he leaves, and slightly disappointing.

We seem to be only breaking even, or making a tiny profit, on the initial deal, which isn't like us especially after only 12 months. Can hardly remember him kicking a ball tbh but I thought he looked decent and wanted to see him and Sviatchenko together, but the signing of Kolo and emergence of O'Connell has put payed to that.

If he's a "sick note" also then why are Torino signing him?

This sale has really opened up my imagination now about who Brendan might be going for next, the Johansen and Jozo money is quite a bit considering they would have been on decent enough wages too, Hernanes, Sisto and St Juste would do for me!

 

We've got the champions league money and the board/management are well aware of our defensive issues so it sounds to me like he wanted to leave and the board have thought that his injury issues along with a chance to recoup the money they paid for him was just to much of an opportunity to not take, I know he came out a few weeks back and said the reports were rubbish but I wouldn't read to much into that.

 

I cant believe some are * about this guy leaving , hardly kicked a ball and looked fairly average when he did. It's clear the gaffer doesn't rate him or he wouldn't be on the verge of leaving.
