If reports are true it's 4mEuros, which equates to about £3.4m, probably with add-ons. However when we bought him reports from Croatia indicated a 25% sell on fee. So if it was based on the fee we lose. If it was on any profit, we'd still lose on the near £4m we paid, but not that much - Peter could give up his annual bonus and we break even!

It's a "what coulda been..." scenario...had he not got injured perhaps our season last year may have been different, anyway...to the future...

I think it's a case of 'what could have been'. Why people are annoyed I mean

It was a bad ankle injury.

Folk are going overboard on the injury prone tag.

    Thinking about tho...

Toure, Sviatchenko, Lustig, O'Connell, Boyata, McCart and possibly Ajer should be enough.

Why are people happy about this? I'd rather we kept him rather than sell him for £4m for that money to go into the biscuit tin in the coughers never to be seen again.

Initially, I was happy with how the transfer window started. But it's going back to the usual tight arsed *.

Wouldn't go that far, 5 first team players in with the possibility of 1-2 more. That's a excellent window

I will concur if we get that "1-2 more" who are genuine quality. If not, then I think this could a quite poor window provided the money we have generated this season so far. That is in addition to getting high earners off the wage bill like Stokes, Mulgrew and likely Johansen. I would imagine getting those players off the wage bill pays for Scott and Kolos wages.

How much have we actually spent in transfer fees? Peanuts provided the amount we have earned and the investment that is required in this team.

From what I've read, people are happy to get him off the books because of his 'injury record'

I think his injuries have been over-egged. He took a serious knock to the ankle which could have ended a career.

I don't think anyone is actually happy about it. Alot of people are confused by it and others are trying to find positives

Its a strange one, there must be a reason, but i would have let him play to get fitness, showcased he in some games then punted for more money to the EPL. Should have sold Boyata and Ambrose first.
