Its not like weve spent huge amounts of money in this transfer window, Simunovic has potential and we dont need the 4M as I dont think it will be reinvested in the Team.

 

I think this is * mental that we are selling him, for the 20 odd games he played he looked a really good player someone who would go on to the prem and get us 7-8m not * 4m. Trust Brendan but hope he has some * up sleeve I don't think young O'Connell is the answer tbh.

Fair play surprised at that. Still don't think he'd come here but if he does would be a cracking signing!

 

Didn't think he was that great from what we saw of him, don't remember him standing out in any game. Happy if we've got our money back.

I forgot he was still part of our squad TBH.

Just had a nosey and its 18 games overall he played. I always feel if you don't notice a defender then he's no had a bad game haha!

Sakho would be a great signing. Stick him in with Toure, what a pairing that would make.

And what about trying Sviatchenko in the DM position ?
Think Sviatchenko has all the makings of a good DM, good engine on him, reads the game well and can tackle good.
Might save us a few bob too.

Doubt we're signing another CB, with Gamboa in Lustig will probably just be seen as a CB option.

Sakho might not be the most technically gifted, but we have Erik and Kolo for that side of the game.

For me, Sakho would be here to play a Balde-type role.

Boot everything in sight and if in doubt, put the ball into the stands rather than trying to play out from the back. He has good European and Premier League experience too.

 

Very strange. I've just totally ignored any rumours about him because I thought they were nonsense. Erik, Toure, Lustig and O'Connell is absolutely fine for the CB slots though with Boyata hopefully not being too bad of an emergency back up. This hopefully frees up even more funds for a marquee deadline day signing.
