He would breeze it up here, the real test would be in Europe.

But I'd be confident going in with Sakho, Toure, Sviatchenko and O'Connell as our four main centre backs.

nah I just don't rate him at all mate, seen plenty of him. I agree in the SPFL he would do okay and he is aggressive and strong but he lacks an absolute prerequisite from Rodgers' style and thats being able to control the ball and bring it out from the back, so error prone as well. Kolo is levels above him.

    Is it that bad really?

Brendan and the coaching staff obviously have doubts and to recoup what we paid (probably) is good business for a guy we have seen very little from.

Edit: Torino doing not bad business. Good wee bit of cash they've spent. They're paying £60k/£150k of Joe Harts wages.

It is more the fact Ambrose and Boyata are still here.

    The chuckle brothers.

I want the likes of Boyara and Ambrose leave and not Simunovic.

To me this just looks like another instance of the club cutting their losses and Brendan wanting to get more of his own guys in, as opposed to Deila and Lennon signings.

I'm in the minority clearly, but I'm not against this transfer.

Good money too, if the rumoured fee is accurate. We wouldn't get close to £4m for either Ambrose or Boyata.

Good piece of business. We can develope O'Connell and McCart further now.
Gives us Toure, Eic and Lustig as the main picks.

It's a good point. He obviously fancies they're good enough for the league. I hope we sign another CB but it seems too late in the window to be doing so much business, surely?:smiley-laughing002:

0 chance he'd come to us, would get in most premier league teams below top 6 and wouldn't surprise me if he starts at Liverpool

Lustig can also move into CB if needed, with Gamboa taking the RB slot.

As do the rest of us but what can the club do if no one wants to buy *?
