Personally I'm hoping for him on the wing of a Boeing flying from each destination and singing to Dragonstea:

To be quite honest if the social media team don't organise this they deserve to be sacked.

Everyone is singing from the same hymn sheet as far as Jota is concerned and it seems like it's only a matter of time.

Celtic have already agreed to pay the £6.4m transfer fee and reports from Portugal have long been suggesting it's a case of when rather than if he'll sign on the dotted line.

As previously reported by Record Sport, personal terms are the only hold-up, but an agreement there is likely to be reached once he's back from holiday and Celtic return for pre-season - if not before then.

The latest from Portugal comes as Abolareport that selling players to make room in the squad is a priority for Benfica and with that in mind they'll be pushing Jota towards the exit door.

As impressive as his season was at Celtic, his chances of a career revival in Lisbon look next to non-existent.

Fellow winger Pizzi is ahead of him in the pecking order and even he's being moved on - with Brazilian winger David Neres set to be announced as a replacement

they're splashing the cash earned from Darwin Nunez's sale to Liverpool and moving Jota on is an important part of that shake-up

But he has a new home at Celtic Ange Postecoglou will be keen to have him all signed up before the Hoops head off for pre-season in the first week of July.

There's still a couple of weeks to kill before then though and that is likely why Celtic aren't forcing it.

Everyone wants the deal to happen and, barring anything dramatic, it's just a matter of time.

Truth be told, I think the agreement was already met ages ago, papers are essentially just guessing at this point.

Completely agree, I think the club/ange has told him to go enjoy his holiday and he will come back to pre season training. Best thing for the player, enjoy life not read rag stories about this and that. Added to the amount of games he will be involved in next season he will be thankful for the time off.

Celtic are to complete their move for Jota by the end of the week, according to Portuguese outlet Record.

There were concerns last week when the newspaper reported that the deal had stalled with the club still in talks with Jota regarding his contract.

However, any concerns in that regard appear to be over with Record believing a deal is now all but certain to be finalised before the week is over.

We spoke last week about how there was nothing major to worry about regarding the wait for Jota’s signature. However, with Cameron Carter-Vickers having already signed permanently, you could understand why some were getting a touch impatient over the wait for Jota.

The Portuguese youth talent dazzled at Celtic Park last season, bagging 13 goals and 14 assists in 40 appearances

There is no reason Jota can’t follow a similar route to some of previous stars if he comes with the right attitude and commitment to the club. Thankfully, he was infectious during his loan spell last season and we hope that will continue heading into pre-season.

When this does indeed get finalised, it’ll be a huge weight off of the supporters’ shoulders. No longer will they be fearing the worst here and that’s something at least.

All eyes then on that official announcement, which at this stage we would hope to be at some stage this week.

Do you think if we do well in the champ league group stage Jota might get into the Portugal squad for the world cup?

No chance, there's no winger he could displace from a run with us there, at best I'd say he might get a call up to a friendly squad but even that would be a struggle, Scottish football is not looked on well enough from any of those nations,

He'd be competing against Horta, Joao Felix, Trincao etc, before you factor in the nailed on's in that team

I think he'll be announced after he sees who's in our group at this rate

If he inpresses in the champions league he could definitely be seen as a better option than Ricardo Horta.

Jota to Celtic is ON as winger's permanent transfer 'set to be announced'

Portuguese outlet Record state a final resolution is incoming after the 23-year-old returns from his holiday

Star man Jota is reportedly on the verge of completing his permanent switch to Celtic in the coming days.

The winger was a smash hit during his season-long loan from Benfica with the clubs already agreeing a £6.5m permanent deal.

And now Portuguese outlet Record state a final resolution is incoming after the 23-year-old returns from his holiday.

An announcement is expected in the coming days, as Ange Postecoglou steps up his recruitment drive ahead of a return to the Champions League for the first time in five years.

The report states the Premeirship champions are pressing ahead and aim to announce Jota's long-term Celtic contract in the coming days.

He will join Cameron Carter-Vickers who penned a four-year deal after his own eye-catching loan stint in Glasgow's east end.

I think the World Cup is just a bit too soon but if he has a great European campaign this year and continues that into next year then I could definitely see him getting called up. Portugal don't seem to have the same prejudices other big nations do and call up players playing abroad in "smaller" leagues fairly often, and he's already highly rated with the youth set up.

Trincao has done nothing to warrant a spot ahead of him either, other than playing in a better league.

However they have some amount of talent. Jao Felix, Rafa Silva at Benfica and Pedro Goncalves at Sporting would be stopping him too. It's wild.

The fact that there has been no other mention of another club being interested/involved would indicate to me that its done and dusted, just waiting to be announced at a time to be decided.
