Jota looks to be on his way OUT of Al Ittihad just a month after his £25million arrival from Celtic.

And Ittihad legend Mohammad Nour insists his former club are RIGHT to put their new signing up for sale. Former Hoops idol Jota has found himself the centre of a bizarre transfer situation after news broke last night that the Saudi Pro League champions have already written off the Portuguese winger.

Jota has made just two appearances from the bench in the league and a shock loan exit to Saudi rivals Al-Shabab was first touted earlier this month. And last night, reputable sports critic Muhammad Al-Bakiri claimed the Parkhead Treble-winner is now officially on the verge of leaving.

In a savage blast, the Saudi Arabia great told SBA Sport: "It has been clear through recent matches that Jota is not suitable for the federation.

"It is better to change it now than start the season with it and failing later. I thank the federation management for its courage in making such a brave decision."

Meanwhile boss Nuno Espirito Santo refused to discuss his club's imminent transfer plans - but did confirm they were looking to strengthen in Jota's position.

Speaking after the 2-0 win against Al Taee, the Portuguese said: “These are things that I cannot talk about. There is a possibility of signing a defender and a winger in the coming days, but there are things in football that we keep to ourselves."

There's no chance he's not good enough to perform in the Saudi league, something weird going on behind the scenes that they're trying to put a spin on. Very odd.

Was reading an article and it was saying their dressing room is in revolt. A few of their players have asked to leave. Dunno what's that go to do with Jota though

 

Maybe it's just me but I've always thought jota bats for the other team. I'd put good money on it being a sexuality issue or they believe he is gay.

Not sure why you would go there at all if that's the case but hard to turn down that money.
