    Looking increasingly like the inverted part of his role here didn't suit him as well. Does seem suited to playing a more straightforward RB role. Although someone mentioned LW earlier in the thread :43:.

    Definitely dropped a level this season and I'd put that down to him making sure he was fit for the WC. Is that a called a "Gamboa"?

    I think this is probably true. I can imagine his brain was scrambled. We all knew the World Cup was his big opportunity to get his move and even when it was over his main focus would've been getting that contract signed.

    I don't really blame players for this if I'm being honest. I do the same at my work. The drop in performance was a bit unfortunate but I still think the whole thing was managed superbly well.

    He was by far, and I mean by far, at his best for us the period he was playing left back when he first came in.

    Union had qualified for Europe the past 2 seasons and in January they were second so I'd only imagine that would be a small part of any extras. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a large chunk through CL qualification and another part after playing x amount of games.
