Watford and Celtic are two of a number of clubs who have expressed an interest in securing the services of PSV Eindhoven full-back Joshua Brenet, according to reports in Holland.
The 23-year-old featured in 26 games across all competitions for PSV last season, including four appearances in the Champions League, but found chances limited nearer the end of the season.
Just 13 of those 26 appearances were Eredivisie starts and Brenet is thought to be contemplating a move away from Holland.
Brenet is a right-back by trade, however, he found himself played on the left of a back four or even in right midfield at times last season.
Santiago Arias is their first choice right-back, but he is expected to move on this summer too, with Liverpool, Everton and Swansea all reportedly interested.
De Telegraaf report that Fiorentina, FC Koln, Eintracht Frankfurt and Udinese are also interested in Brenet.

Really? I don't think Gamboa has proven himself to be champions league quality, would be a weak point in our team if you take out Lustig IMO.

Disagree. He was largely a back up to Lustig and did well whenever he came in last season, and in my opinion never should have lost his spot to Lustig when he did (mid February I believe). Thought he played well enough against Monchengladbach away in the UCL, but other than that we didn't really see much of him. A full international, with Premier League experience whose shown quality in his limited action with Celtic, think its a bit harsh to say he isn't up to standard as a back up fullback.JML67 likes this. -

Lustig was the weak point of our team in the CL and at times domestically, Gamboa done well mid season when he got a run. Can hardly judge him on that Barca game when the whole team was woeful.Aidan O’Shea and Fontaine like this. -

He was unlucky mainly because Lustig hit a purple patch with Robanas and all that flung in. The Lustig is class and Gamboa looks decent. A wouldn't bother with a new RB

I like Lustig but if this boy is better I am all for it, There are more pressing positions but Rodgers will still try and get better in any position if it's possible.

With Brendan drawing comparisons between Ralston and Danny McGrain, I'd be surprised if we were in for another RB. We have three in the first team squad.

I think Gamboa is a touch lightweight but he makes up for that in sheer pace for me him going forward his drive and determination to beat the man take the ball to the byline and get the ball in is something that suits us down to a t if im honest although defensively Lustig is better than Gamboa but you may find if Sviatchenko does indeed go to England then Lustig may place inside right and Gamboa being our number 1 RB with the boy Ralston getting game time over the season allowing him to develop i would be more than happy with that.

This is lad is a cracking wee player had a lot of promos a few years back and seemed to have stalled in his career. Maybe he needs a chang to kick start it again, he can play left and right back and even in the middle of the park.
Would not mind him if the price is right. -

Wouldn't be against loaning Ralston out until January and see where he's at from there.
I still can't see Lustig playing here past 32 after all the injuries he's had. -
