It sounds like he never realy has been given a chance to settle in and he was not matchfit when he joined you.
I have watched a couple of your games recently because of Bangura and without any disrespect, you´re defending are awfull, im sure Jos could do a job for you but maybe its for the best for Celtic and for Jos to go separate ways...

Best of luck to him. He always gave me the impression he spoke a better game than he played, but he's proven that if he's given a chance he can match his words, but perhaps not with Celtic. The fact that Mowbray signed him has also gone against a longer stint with us, however the defence we have at present would dictate that he'd probably be a starter every week. I guess nobody could fortell the K Wilson injury though which hasn't helped us any.

He had a shaky debut but has gone from strength to strength here on the South Coast. Wins everything in the air and is a very no-nonsense style defender that complements his classy ball playing Portuguese partner Fonte well. He also seems like a great bloke, genuinely funny in interviews and some of his twitter banter with his teammates had me laughing for ages and he's had nothing but good things to say about Celtic. The Saints fans were a little nervous to say the least when we brought him in because of some Hoops fans' comments about how he was * and had a big mouth but we quickly warmed to him when he proved both these rumors wrong and he's being serenaded with chants of "sign him up" most games now. All this adds up to you Bhoys slapping a huge price tag on him come January and him being sent home to rot in the reserves of course ;)

Jos Hooiveld has been playing for good for southampton lately and with are terrible defence at the moment i think it might be time to call him back in january from on loan and him a proper chance at parkhead, mulgrew has been our best defender all season and he not even a centre back, also what has happened to Rogne, he too needs a proper run out instead of Daniel Majstorović and the less said about loovens the better, Bring Hooiveld back and give him a chance

I have said before that he didnt get an opportunity. Played no more than 10 games for us, injured for part of them.

Given the difficulties we are having I would have liked to have seen Hooiveld kept and Loovens sent out. Glenda seems to be made of chocolate these days.

Delighted that Hooiveld is playing well, a little concerned that we might offload him on the cheap though.

10 games isnt enough of an opportunity in my opinion.

I think he suffered from being part of a few majorly poor team performances, most notably the horror show in Utrecht.

To be honest, you need to hit the ground running at Celtic and the few times he got a start he wasn't great.

Best of luck to him though.

I think your right there. But it seems bizarre to me that we have kept hold of the tripe that is Loovens and the increasingly poor Majstorovic and yet let this guy go on loan.

If he is playing as well as is suggested then lets get him back in January.

I think you have the flip side with Maj though, in that he was part of quite a few great team performances and a brilliant run of team form last season, hiding the fact he was pretty limited amongst it all. Poor players can hide in good sides, just like they will stand out like a sore thumb in rotten ones.

I agree though, I would certainly give Jos another go in January.

Very important win for the hoops today, great to see Hooper scoring the winner again! Strong!

Bring him back, he is highly rated by saints fans!

The teams he faces week in week out are pretty much all better than the rest of the SPL.

Have to agree with this, he's playing at a higher level and strolling it supposedly.

    Hooiveld has earned another opportunity.
