    We could.

    We won't though.

Breaking our wage structure to sign one decent big-name striker would be a huge mistake - that I'm confident we won't be making.

Neither Rhodes nor Pogrebnyak will be coming to Glasgow. :50:

If we want to have any chance to signing him, then first we should hope Huddersfield lose the playoff final to Sheffield United.

No quotes..but its a start. Would love him, Henriksen and Russell. And FF on a permanent deal, what a summer that would be.

jordan rhodes is our man . sign him and pair him with gary hooper and you have a seriously clinical strike force , capable of 60 spl goals a season imo . rhodes would be huge coup , encouraging article from a more than credible source.

I spent the last few months thinking "never going to happen" but the more I mull it over it's not the longest of long shots.

We can offer first team football consistently, something not guaranteed in the premiership, we can offer Europe, none of the clubs noted so far can give him that. Also Hooper has blazed a bit of a trail as a player that's really made a name for himself here.........

I'm more optimistic but trying not to get carried away. It would a coup if we did get him.

Even with rhodes I'd still love us to buy a big target man for europe. Sammys just not good enough.

I wouldn't class Rhodes as a target man however he does score a decent amount of headers, so I would be over the moon if we get him.

yeah he's definitely not a target man, but most definitely a player we want to keep for Europe.

rhodes would be able to offer us that more physical aspect to our attack, but he also has the technical ability to outplay someone who is just a thug of a striker. i dont think that an out and out target man, someone who is just big, would be any use for us at all. yes we need that extra dimension in our strike force but he has to be able to play on the deck too. rhodes fits that bill from what ive seen of him.

we can offer him more than any of the english teams reported to be interested in him except on the financial side of things.

Rhodes and Hooper would be unbelievable together, reckon if we get him and a good centre back we will definetely get back in champions league group stages

    Don't really want him.

Only watched him play once live and he was *' woeful! First touch like a baby elephant, slow as a week in the slammer and no technique on the ball whatsoever.

Probably being a bit harsh on the lad, but that one game is all I have to go on. Reminded me of Kris Boyd & he isn't the kind of striker I want.
