The poll shows 43 against 56 in favour of keeping him.

With all the poppy and JR threads closed and the flak the GB got for protesting you would think its 90-10 in favour of keeping him. It just shows the power mods can influence on the website. im delighted i done the poll cause it shows about 40% want him out which is not the significant minority we are led to believe.

What the * is that suppose to mean.

Threads were closed for breach of rules, not to oppress our opinions onto others. A comment like that is trolling, read the rules.

TC doesnt represent all Celtic Supporters nor does it reflect a perfect cross-section of all opinions amongst the supporters.

This poll only represents active members on TC that have voted, dont try to make it out to be something else

dr death, such simplistic crap ,sorry, but soundbites like that are typical the politically moronic mob that think they have the moral upper hand..john reid is doing a good job,the same people booing him booed fergus, and embarrass us at every away game, celtic wont be pushed around with reid and lawell in charge,us fans dont mean the majority, yur protests so far have been universally ignored apart from a few relatively speaking.............go forward with reid:bbpd:

ok then wonderbhoy, ill ask you this, what age are you?honestly,do you remember the board of the 80,s,and 90,s,telling us that they had done polls and that we wanted to stand in the celtic end with rain pishing in on us,the jungle with the toilets overflowing and urine pouring out.if you are able to remember that and before, then fair enough, but we have a proffessional board with a clear vision that encompasses non sectarianism, non political songs, paying tribute to our irish beginnings, but reiterating our scottish present, and ill ask you another, how do you think the people of manchester think of us when we sing pro ira songs,do you remember the bombings of 96,the arndale center blown to bits during euro 96,i was living there at the time,it wasnt nice,do you think that goes down well,or london clubs,do you remember the 70s,80s and 90s,read some history, and ive got sympathy for the northern irish nationalists in those times, lived thru them, but did you, when the green brigade sing ira songs do they really think about it,no i dont think they do,thats why we need to move on and reid and lawell are right,in my view

all its suppose to mean is that I was lead to believe a significant majority were in favour of JR every thread you closed including this one you posted you defended JR, the mods have had the last say.

Im just glad this poll shows its very much even on opinions, I meant no offence, if you took offence thats your problem not mine.

as to the above so ban me, you love the power.

John Reid was born and brought up in Springburn, to a normal working class family

Like most of us here, born supporting celtic and even when holding some very high positions in politics never forgot where he came from or who he supports, and now only we can benifit from the vast wealth of knowledge he has gained in his career in politics.

If people think he should not have the position he has, because of his past employments, does that mean all celtic fans who were/are in the british army and involved in present day wars should not be supporting Celtic ?

How many celtic fans have committed some kind of illegal act at some time in their lives. Should they go too.

We should be proud and honoured to have a man of such high calibre on our chair.

I remember the board of the 80's abd 90's mate.

I was active in the Celts For Change group that finally ousted them. I dont want John Reid as our chaiman.

Does that make me part of a moronic mob. And if you want to start rhyming off IRA bombing campaigns, tell the facts. these campaigns were done for a reason. Maybe you need a history lesson !!

"these campaigns were done for a reason",that excuse ranks with the old "i was only obeying orders""catch all, does that excuse killing innocent people,so if on your euoropean travels with celtic eta or some dissafected faction sets off a bomb in the center of a city with hundreds of fans caught up in it,you will be happy as it was done for a reason.yup that makes me feel better as i lie in hospital.some things cannot be justified and if you live in glasgow and do not know how it feels when a bomb goes off in a crowded city, you cannot justify it,and by the way, john reid war criminal, but the ira killing is justified,i think your argument is a wee bit hypocritical
