Personaly I dont like the guy. I dont like any of the so called "New Labour" politicians.

I think he's a bit of a sell out. Especially since he apparently stood in picket lines.

If he's doing a good job at Celtic though I find it hard to argue removing him. I have my reservations.

I want John Reid to stay, personally I think he's done a good job as Celtic chairman.

    Until recently, Caldwell too.

All i care about is what he does for celtic, dont care about what he has done in his past. He should be judged with what he does at Celtic and not by his past.

    Doing a good job.

War Criminal like Mugabe, Hilter, Milosevic, Hussein....? Go read a history book about his role in the Iraq War, you make it sound like he started the bleeding thing! You wouldnt know a war criminal from the taxman, tbh

And what about all the Irish that join the British army during WW1 and that fought and died in it? They were actually oppressed by the British Empire, not you or me, them but they still joined, fought, and many died. What does that make them??

    Whats your agenda?

I'm a republican but I'm hearing an awful amount of waffle lately from members that dont have their fact straight.

He may not have started the war mate, but he was in the cabinet and took an active roll in campaigning for it. At least the likes of Robin Cook and Clare Short had the balls to resign.

I dont like the guy. . . Jusy my opinion.

Would his resignation have stopped America from pressuring Britain, into going to war? No, they even ignored the UN to invade Iraq. I'm not saying the war is right but cut the bullshit please!

    EDIT

Anyone want to dispute that from Wiki?

Is that your war criminal?? OMFG!! Far far bigger instigators of the Iraq war than him. The wheels for war were already in motion when he got into that position.

I will respect an opinion when its based on facts that arent blown out of proportion, which I think is happening here by many people

His resignation, in itself, wouldnt have stopped the war no. But it would have gave him some respect, in my eyes anyway. In my opinion he carried on relaying the spin and towing the party line, like they all did.

I would just rather our chairman didnt have this sort of baggage. I'm not going to campaign against him. I wouldnt trust him either though.
