Reid could sing the rebel songbook back to you word for word St Sixtus, does that soften your opinion on him?

    So it's a trust issue.

Do you honestly believe he's going to take the club he loves and has supported all his life a route it shouldn't be going down? He'd have to be a silly man to * all over Celtic fans trust in him and he's far from being a silly man by all accounts.

This is gonna sound heavy. . . but I'm sorry, its how I feel about the guy..

He sacrificed his principles when he was in the cabinet . . . He campaigned for what he knew was an illegal war, because he wanted to keep the trappings of power.

It has been stated that he stood in picket lines, and I beleive that to be true. Why then can he turn his back on his principles and follow the "New Labour" spin . . . £££££££££££

I dont think he would do damage to Celtic intentionally. . . However. . . He has a past that I am uncomfortable with.

The fact he stood beside the men being chastised for leading the country into war and took the level of criticism levelled at him for something undirectly relating to him should tell you all you need to know about his character. It has to be reminded that although others would lead you to believe it was his decision in all honesty it was not, he didn't even hold the position in the cabinet for a long period of time, relatively.

He's a terrier everyone would want to have on their side in a debate/argument/scrap/whatever. When the time comes Celtic needs a figurehead of resolute strength i'm personally glad he's the man in charge of my club to be it.

Ita all about opinions mate. . . I dont hate the guy, as some people on my side of the argument seem to.

But he did have a few cabinet jobs. . . I can think of two that I have issues with his decisions. To me, for someone who started off as a left wing Glaswegian. . . He has sold out, as have most of his pieirs.

i know that I'm ideological, but i do beleive its healthy to question everything. I would rather not have JR as chairman, but I'm not gonna go crazy about it. I voted yes to the question and the thread grew arms and legs. So I stuck up for my opinion, which I think is valid.

He was a Stalinist as well if I remember right to begin with whilst in University.

People grow up and change both their personality and their ideals, I can play every rebel tune ever written on the guitar yet would chastise anyone singing them at a Celtic game. The tales of a mispent youth, we all have a past.
