Bitton is horrendous. That’s why he’s not in the team.

    ...Brown..McGinn...Ntcham....
    .......Mcgregor..Rogic........

gives us 5 players who we can work with in midfield alternating, 3 of them Scottish...the rest are on the periphery/not good enough such as Allan,Christie,Bitton etc to play centrally we need the right balance.

Petrie the poker player is on to a busted flush.
We should offer no more than £2m for McGinn. If Hibs refuse then wait until January and sign McGinn on a pre contract. He wants to come here so he'll bide his time whether Petrie likes it or not. We hold all the aces and Petrie knows this.

I agree. He will silence a lot of nae sayers. Once he signs, an extra £500k - £1m wont matter. He will prove in time that he is worth every penny.

I reckon you’re just always uppity and quite fond of feeling superior. You don’t like my opinions? I’m entitled to them, just like you? I won’t sit back and let anyone take a dig at me without replying. That must be the East End of Glasgow upbringing in me. I can’t actually see why you bothered quoting me and having a dig just after some other superior forum member just did. I’m here to express my opinion about Celtic, and yet here I am having to defend myself from vultures who just don’t like my opinion. Don’t like my opinion then please don’t take a pop at me? I certainly won’t be taking a pop in the same manner as you and the other vulture did. Now can we just get on with why the forum exists please??

If Kolo Toure cant spot a player with defensive qualities then I dont know who is better qualified. Id like to think he would have a decent knowledge of promosing african players. Hes obviously not a scout, but im sure at the least he could tip us off.

In fairness Bain has played well in all his games so far. Gordon is a very good keeper but honestly he has made so many crucial mistakes over the last 2 seasons that led to us conceding. He can be too much of a liability I think

Hibs assistant coach Garry Parker has revealed that there have been no further bids from Celtic for star midfielder John McGinn and hopes that the Easter Road side will have him available to face NSI Runavik in the Europa League on Thursday night.

McGinn – the subject of a rejected £1.5millon bid from the Glasgow club early last week – was reinstated into the Hibs team as they went down 2-0 to Blackburn Rovers in Paul Hanlon’s testimonial on Sunday after he missed last Wednesday’s 6-0 win at Berwick Rangers. McGinn was rested for that match alongside other key senior players, but put in a man-of-the-match display against the English Championship club before being replaced by Vykintas Slivka just after the hour mark.

Celtic had been widely expected to table a second offer for the Scotland international, pictured, but Parker admitted that, as yet, they had received no further contact from the reigning Scottish Premiership champions.

Parker said: “John got stuck in, put his foot in and passed the ball well. But he could have done better like everyone else. We’ve heard nothing more [from Celtic] and if he’s still here, of course he will play [against Runavik].”
