Just simply not true. Slivka played well in the 3-2 win at Ibrox but so did Mcginn. Just because Slivka played well doesnt mean Mcginn didnt?
He dominated their midfield in the 2-1 and won the ball at the half way line, dribbled 30 yards and then drilled a shot past Foderingham.
Rangers stole that win at Easter road thanks to Morelos. Again, Hibs were dominant. Did you even watch?

Against Sevco? Thought every time Hibs have played them this season he’s bossed the midfield.

Ahh, I didn’t catch that game. And only seen the highlights of the Ibrox games but he looked like he * bossed it tbf.

He certainly gave us a whole load of trouble. Broony said he’s by far the toughest opponent in the SPFL as well.

this move must be a goer , they wouldn't put McGinn in a celtic top next to our captain in the papers would they ? if there wasn't any truth in it i mean .

What i like about McGinn is he is a tough tackler, has plenty of heart and can get about the park he has a great engine.
will be well suited to our High pressing game ,Other areas of his game can be worked on and has shown before he's not afraid to shoot and has a goal in him.

Sinclair,Armstrong and even Mcgregor are quality footballers but sometimes lack that wee bit of aggression, Basically we need the right balance in a team and in tougher games i can see him and Brown dominating together sometimes we have went with a strong three in the middle such as when we played hearts with Kouassi-Brown-Ntcham and stood up to their thuggery.

Think he will slot into the squad well and he is 3 years younger than Armstrong with more caps.

The scotsman gave him a 7/10 for that game, i guess its a matter of opinion.
Regardless, is player judged on one game alone?
He wouldnt have made the team of the year if he didnt make the grade over the course of the season.

Tavernier, Berra and Boyd also made team of the year, wouldn't want any of them, either.

Have a look at that team. I'm sure a Celtic team without Brown and Tierney would trash that team with Brown and Tierney.

I know where you are coming from I like Armstrong who on his day can look real quality in the SPFL (in Europe he has looked invisible mind) , but! he is not a 100% effort 100% of the time type, whether it is or was a underlying injury or just a lack of stamina or ability he appears inconsistent and a big point besides he does not seem to be that committed to Celtic. Armstrong aint no Rogic or Ntcham to lose!
Lets not forget either, that it was BR who has made Armstrong look like he is fit to wear the shirt! he looked very average before BR.

Comparing from what I recall of a Armstrong at DUFC and McGinn who is 23 and would have been around the same age.
For me McGinn is and has shown far the better player to that age and with much more potential. Has a cracking shot from distance and BR could improve him no doubt.
McGinn is aggressive and persistent and brave like Brown and is always going to give 100%.
I get the feeling Broony will be telling the Boss to get McGinn, think he sees a lot of his younger self there.

McGinn will be a difficult one for sure as he will not be guaranteed a place, David Hay sums up that issue from a Celtic perspective with good sense.

Aye but none of them are linked to celtic?? And there is a wee bit more than just making that XI to point to the fact that he is a player.

McGinn is the same age as what Armstrong was when we bough him, 23. McGinn is a better all round player with more experience than Armstrong was at that age.

Get him for less than £2mill and it's a deal, problem is we might actually be a hard sell to him as he isn't getting into the first team on the regular while we have Brown, Ntcham, Rogic and McGregor to pick from.

hard sell nothing , its a squad game imagine you where him , he supports Celtic going into joining a squad of double treble 7iar champions, more wages, signing on fee and the chance to work under arguably the best manager in the business at improving young players.

He's just started to make inroads internationally and that is largely because he's the main guy for Hibs (for now), coming here could mean 2 years of in and out of the starting 11 and a regression on his international career. Right now, I'd say he's in a tricky situation as he's not an immediate improvement on our starting 11 and might want to move to a team who can assure him of regular first team football.
