Of course he isn't though. The point is he has the ability to be so and could very well come in and hit the ground running with us. If he was already a Celtic mainstay in terms of ability then he wouldn't still be at Hibs as of this moment. Everything is there for him to kick on however.

I've changed my mind numerous times on this one but now.think we'd be silly not to take a punt. For a fair price.

Domestically, he is already an astute player and in a better side would only improve. He's a player who could improve massively under Rodgers in the next 2-3 years IMO and would potentially.be the type to commit the rest of his career to the club if he proved to be a success.

Don't get me wrong there is a part of me thay wants him here but for the next two years I don't see him starting often and also Lenny will demand silly money for him £4 mill maybe.

He just ain't worth that type of outlay if he isn't going to start, if we could get him on a pre contract then it's a no brained you have to bring him in but again, Hibs under Lenny won't be taken for a ride and they will want Brown/Ntcham type money for him.

The fact that Mcginn has only around 1 year - 18 months left on his contract will mean that Lennon wont be able to demand silly money. Unless he signs a new deal in the meantime.

Iv seen us let a few players go down south, Russell, McCarthy and even recently Callum Paterson who i feel we should have made a move for.
I think we would be making a mistake if Mcginn was the next one to slip through the net.

Can't we just offer them £2million, Allen, Ciftci and Gamboa ? surely will sweeten the deal while getting rid of our pointless players.

Kouassi has performed at a high level against teams like Zenit. McGinn is untested at a higher level than SPFL

Got one of the lowest pass completion rates in English football and has been slated publicly for being a clueless defender from his manager.

And Russell is in the MLS.

Russell was half decent and I think we should have signed. But patterson was honest dog *, couldn't defend people just thought he was good because he scored the odd goal due to the fact he used to be a striker.

Strange that, pretty sure he has been in numerous championship teams of the season and is a favourite for their POTY.

All off the back of a serious injury that disrupted his start to the season.

I never even knew that but I just looked and jesus * christ. I've always said that Paterson was like a Rugby player rather than a footballer.

That pass completion is an absolute embarrassment, thats goalkeeper level stats :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Dreadfully unskilled footballer though. Celtic need players of good quality, he'd maybe do a job for the huns - guys who can barely control a ball do ok there compared to us Broadfoot, Hutton, McCulloch, Edu, Naismith, Lafferty, Kenny Miller they'd have been/were utter duds and embarrassments to us.

And Kris Boyd will get in the SPFL team of the season and was nominated for POTY but wouldn’t make a match day squad with us.

If you think Callum Paterson would be a good signing for us you are genuinely clueless about football. He’s scored goals because Cardiff play long balls into the box and he’s good in the air and sniffing out chances because he used to be a striker. He’s a * awful footballer and it’s a national embarrassment this * has caps for Scotland.

He’s an absolutely woeful footballer. Anyone should watch a Cardiff game for a laugh to see how our of his depth he is on the ball.

It’s like he’s won a competition to play football.

Look at the passing stats off the whole Cardiff team, what a * dreadful outfit they must be to watch. They have the worst pass completion in the League 59.4%, 4th lowest possession and the 2nd highest amount of headers.

They only need to beat Reading at home this weekend as well to get promoted, never realised they were 2nd. They will be absolutley murdered in the EPL :celtman2: then again they will have access to £100million+ if they were smart they'd sack Warnock, bring in a more footballing manager and wipe out their entire squad and start a fresh as they're almost certainly going to be relegated as they're going to be like Tony Pulis Stoke only with players who arent anywhere near as good as the guys Stoke had.

Well i guess there must be a few down south must be clueless too then eh?
Pretty sure its a decent standard he is playing at too.
Hes got ten this season btw, a few things you have said now have been wide of the mark.

I dont care what position he used to play, he is doing well playing in the position he is now. If anything its shows versatility.

Clearly you dont rate the guy, but he has had a good season and he will go on to get more scotland caps. He would have been a £1m player and it would have ment we wouldnt have been so short at right back.

I find it truly staggering that he is rated, nevermind a Scottish international..

A woeful, utterly * football player..

Those stats and Warnock no realising he couldn't defend says as much about Warnock's ability to spot a player..

    Embarrassing levels of *..

He could be an EPL player next season. Lol..
