Get him signed in the summer!! Under Brown's tutelage in the next couple of years he's a ready-made staring us in the face!! Would be gutted if we let him slip and he went South!

 

Is he any better than Kouassi?

 

He certainly was when he was up against him in the 2-2 game at Parkhead. Whether he has potential to be better in the long-run I'm not sure.

 

hard to say, but i think McGinn has probably played more minutes at Celtic Park

Bitton doesn't get a game with our current midfielders, only got playing in defense because we were so short on players which is unlikely to happen in that extreme again, and Armstrong didn't sign much of an extension on his contract, I'd expect at least one of them to go, quite possibly both.

 

I can see both of them leaving as well especially if Armstrong doesn't sign a new contract. I wouldn't be against signing McGinn but even if they 2 leave I dont think he would play much, Unless Broony declines rapidly which he's showing no signs of.

 

If Armstrong goes McGinn should be brought in definitely.

Putting aside his technical ability, he brings everything else to the squad that we will always need. Energy, passion, drive and I’m sure he’s a Celtic fan too?

I wouldn’t worry about game time. We play plenty of matches and will get plenty of injuries too. Competition for places is a great thing.

 

I would say he is at the moment! Granted, Kouassi has had injuries and the cultural change but i personally think Mcginn is the better player.

 

Fair enough. I'd like to see Kouassi get more of a chance first.

 

One thing I think we'd need to compare as well between McGinn and the likes of Kouassi and their potential as replacements for Brown long term, is which one would be more likely to actually stay with us long term and who would move on, McGinn being a homegrown scottish player I think he's much less likely to have his head turned and move on after a few years than a foreign player might.

I like a few people in here have had my doubts....but on Friday he was something else
The way he shields the ball no-one gets near him. His passing was immense

I would definitely sign him....he would be a great signing for us.

 

Wish we would just bite the bullet and sign him. I wanted him on a free from st mirren

1yr left on his contract now.. be lucky to get £2m.. however can’t blame Lenny tho..

 

Id take him for £2million + Allan and maybe loan them someone as well like Ralston, Miller, Morgan or Johnston if they want them. We don't really need him but we might in 2 years or so when Brown is finishing.

 

Yup bring him in, Bittons replacement in the 1st team, I don't see where he fits in now and he's most likely on a decent contract.
Give them Allen and 2.5m plus a youth player or 2 loan.

Weird. I was thinking earlier how there seems to be no rumours at all when it comes to McGinn to us but it’s always spoke about by people
