Unfair to compare him to Broony, and he probally has traits that Brown doesn’t. He’s a ideal player to get in at this stage and develop. Can’t think of a better prospect to take on the challenge of replacing brown

Wouldn’t say he has no pace either, but his positioning and reading of the game is already at a high level

I would like to think he could but guys like Johnny Hayes, ciftci, niall mcginn and gms stood out when they played against us playing with us is a different thing though hopefully he would improve

I like the look of him but there's no room in the squad as it stands. If Armstrong wants a move and we get a £6mil+ fee and can get him for a 3rd of that, I'd be delighted. His passing and vision is outstanding.

I'd take him. We'd make him a better player than he is aswell

Theres no point in him coming to Celtic while Brown is here. Kouassi and Ntcham too. No doubt he's got something but he needs to be playing all the time to develop his talent and he's not getting that at Celtic. I think the timing is just wrong for him.

Why percentage do you think we will sign him in January?

A move along those lines makes a lot of sense in the short term.

There's no doubt under Rodgers he'd absolutely flourish.

Personally, I'm still not convinced we need to go and get him before someone else down south snaps him up. He's clearly got something about him though and has real potential to improve so if we managed to get him it could be a shrewd signing. However the money Hibs are quoting is not even worth entertaining as we could spend it on a much more experienced and established player for that kind of money which I think BR will be looking to do as he'll be aiming to make further progress in the CL, which McGinn, unfortunately, does not strike me as the player who will really push us on in terms of quality and pedigree which we need for Europe, and the fact we already have young midfielders in Ntcham, Eboue and also arguably McGregor who we would be looking to do the exact same job as McGinn.

Think we should offer 3 mil +Henderson and offer them ajer on loan that will free up space and wages for the boy Moore and we give lenny first pick of the fringe players like Christie and players like that win for all envolved and would up the level of compition of the league

Never worth £3m for half a season is spfl plus Henderson and ajer on loan! He is worth £1.5m tops he isn’t any better than Armstrong was at Dundee Utd when we signed him. McGinn has been in and around Scotland squad not a starter and for me he wouldn’t get into the Celtic team as things Stand!

Maybe 1.5mil last season but not after that last transfer window I think hibs are quite right asking for 5 mil more of our clubs need to charge more for thier top talent I mean boyce went for 500k and mwell will probs only get 1.5mill at the very most for moult the smaller clubs need to start asking for realistic fees imo .

Motherwell won't get anything like 1.5m for Moult. He can sign a precontract in 6 weeks.

Hibs won't get anywhere near £5m for McGinn either. They'll be lucky if they get £2m.

If we don't sign him, I reckon we'll regret it eventually.

What a talent. Done well against Brown (wouldn't say he got the better though) and could just tell he was trying to impress us.

His passing is better than Broonie's was at that age. But Broonie was much more dynamic..

Would pay up to £4m for him, we payed £3.5 for Eboue allegedly.

Celtic minded and with all his attributes. It would be a bargain..

Still don't get the hype. Was aggressive enough today but his passing was school-boy at times.

Looked more determined to leave the boot in on Brown and others rather than play football.

    Hibs can keep.

Not a chance we are signing him now after Rodgers comments IMO.

    Ship’s sailed.

Seen somewhere Rodgers say it was “no contest” dunno how true that is but if he did say that then that’s harsh on McGinn. Thnk they both played well and McGinn went past Brown a few times with ease and got stuck right in.
