Everyone's just worried he'll be picked up by an English side and be the next James McCarthy

Fair, I suppose we could always buy him then loan him back to Hibs for two seasons then look at the situation then

We have a lot of talent in midfield at the moment and seem to have some good youngsters coming through. Brendan has said he will only sign players that will improve the team, that rules out McGinn for me. Good player but not any better than what we already have.

No thanks, very good player for Hibs and Lenny though. They should be able to get a couple mill for him from someone down south which they can eventually put back into the team.

I don't think he's good enough. But I didn't think Armstrong of McGregor were good enough until Brendan worked his magic. He could bring out the best in him and raise his game a few levels

Was thinking this myself until I realised that he was 25. Not that its such a huge deal and he would probably do a job as a 3rd striker. Just thought he was a lot younger than that. If he was Mcginnis age his potential could have skyrocketed

Not like he's been around years doing * all though, he's worked his way up the leagues according to his wiki and has done well for himself.

Said it at the time we should have signed McGinn instead of Allan..

Folk wanting Celtic to sign Murray is a classic case of knee * naivety. He's in good form, he'll never be good enough for Celtic.

McGinn will go on and become a Scotland regular though and does have more levels in him whether or not Rodgers fancies taking a chance or not who knows but he's on record as liking him.

Any time I've seen him he looks absolutely * then pops up with a goal after I've slagged him for an hour.

    Like a bargain basement Samaras.

We should leave these players like McGinn and Murray where they are unless they are seriously outstanding, we bought Mackay-Steven, Armstrong and Ciftci from Dundee Utd and next thing you know they're relegated, it's counterproductive for Scottish football.

That is none of our concern.

They could have done whatever they wanted with the more than adequate funds we paid for the players.

Of course it's our concern. The health of Scottish football has everything to do with us as the biggest club in the country. There was a big club once though who didn't give a * and thought of nothing but themselves, now look at them. I'd like to think we're above that.

Utter nonsense, even attempting to compare buying the best talent in the country with industrial scale tax evasion.

When Celtic are looking at targets, the last thing on the list of priorities is will it weaken the players club. Trust me.

But they're not the best talent and nobody was comparing anything with tax evasion.

The point is we don't need players like this. Scott Allan is a prime example.

Armstrong was the best talent, Hayes was the best talent, McGinn would be the best talent. The scouts decide that regardless.

As I said, weakening opposition would not be a concern of Rodgers or Celtic. Unless it's like a Hayes when we've took the best player in the league outwith ourselves and the collateral is the biggest challengers are weakened.
