Genuinely believe we're trying to muster up an anti-Hibs/anti-Petrie feeling to make the transfer feel like more of a "victory" if/when it happens.

 

He was great for Hibs last year and desperately wanted when it was free though..

1 of the highest assists in the league I'm sure..

Now all of a sudden he's seemingly no even in discussions because they want to sell McGinn for 4 and got Mallan in on loan..

They'd of bit our hand off for Allan back under any other circumstances as well..

Fly as * in my opinion..

 

Surely it'd be more of a "victory" if we hold off and sign him for free on a pre-contract and their £4m valuation goes up in smoke?

 

You can’t see it but Brendan Rodgers obviously can. Players can do that but what guarentees does he have there will be an offer in place this time next year? Or in January?

 

We haven’t offered Allan mate.

 

Allan will be being kept aside to seal the deal once the English window closes.

Once the English window closes we will likely offer the same or even maybe less money + Allan and they'll take it. When it comes to January and we announce he's signed a pre-contract they will get heehaw off us, either Allan or about £500k, they can't afford to throw away £1million or even £1million + Allan.

We know Hibs need to sell this window and we know he's cheaper in 2 weeks.

 

I'm no saying we have..

Easily a * easy bargaining tool to get it done though. We offer 2 mill and they say throw in Allan on loan who has a year on his deal left and can sign for them after. What do you think we'd say?

 

So either Rodgers rates Allan or he thinks we will get more value by not offering him as part of the deal?

 

Really? a reckon Lawwell would say £750k and Allan then or something along they lines.

 

Rodgers isn’t negotiating. We can safely say evidence of the last two years would say Rodgers doesn’t rate him either.

Really and truly we don't need McGinn but they need Allan and the mill+ to bring in quality surely..

I watched their defence in the Faroe Island and it was horrendous..

Leaving it late in this window doesn't suit them at all..

That isn't that far fetched considering he wants to come to us apparently and his contract is out in a year.

I'd honestly give them fuckall at that point..

I was one of the people saying in here before that Allan was one of their best player's and contributed to a majority of their goals. We shouldn't just be giving him away as if he was nothing. If he wasn't at us and performed at Hibs like he did for the last 6 month's then Hibs would be wanting a mill+ 100%..

So in that case. Hibs would be getting the best part of 3 mill in that case. If that makes sense..

 

We won't go that high.

Hibs are clearly trying to * us about to squeeze money out of us as they are likely raging at losing their best players to us again but we aren't daft enough to fall for it as we will have assurances from McGinn that one way or another McGinn will be wearing the Hoops and we now Hibs need the money and will be desperate for Allan who is like a Rogic to them.

Hibs knowing it's a done deal should be setting up a meeting with us and getting it done professionally - if they did I would imagine we'd be happy to go to about £2million + Allan or would have been 2/3 weeks ago but because they are * us about they have likely annoyed us and we'll now be wanting him on the cheap to spite them.

They maybe half expected us, knowing we have money coming our our ears nowadays to go "* it just get it done" and offer £2.5million and Allan and move on but we'll always negotiate the lowest price possible lol thats how we are rich. Either that or they thought we might be panicked into thinking someone else is going to come in and steal him with bigger money offers but i'd imagine with how it's played out that it's a done deal between us and McGinn already.

 

Give them * all we made a fair bid and came back in twice after that, we should wait till January and sign him for free, I also don't want any of our players going to Hibs on loan until the fat * Petrie is gone

This is the reason they have leaked it to the papers to try & make us look bad to the wee Scottish clubs.

I can't be arsed listening to this * form Premiership clubs as if the don't do the same * to smaller clubs.

 

Hibs are just * themselves on this one.

We are interested in signing him but aren't desperate, they are wanting to cash in on their best player before he leaves for nothing but they haven't got a leg to stand on as he only has months left.

* them off more and really "disrespect" them now and decrease our bid to £1mill and Allan on a 6 month loan. Knowing full well we will just approach him in November or something and sign him a pre contract.

 

Probably £1m. Do you think he wouldn’t? I’ve been think he’s aiming for less than £2m and Allan tbh.
