Petrie thinks he's holding Celtic to ransom for McGinn. I'd pull the plug on this until January. Pre contract or we name the price to get him then.

 

Agree with everyone saying walk away til January. Petrie is acting like billy big baws just now but wait for the fall out when they lose their best player for * all next year.

A lot of leaks around this transfer. Usually our business is kept under wraps. I suspect Hibs want to be seen to be playing hardball. I would leave 2million on the table and they'll come running in a couple of weeks time begging us to take him. If someone else comes in for him in the meantime im sure he'll hold out for us anyway.

 

I'd like him to sign but the longer this has gone on the more I'm not bothered. It's not a priority position for us so leave it for now. Would prefer we focused on defence.

Brendan threatened to walk away from discussions and with no interest in England this could spectacularly backfire on Hibs £2m cash today or zero in a few months with no way of making that £2m up!

 

I am all for the idea that clubs deserve respect and shouldnt be forced to sell their best assets for peanuts but this sense of entitlement is pathetic. Specially when we respect the scottish clubs usually much more than english teams who pay peanuts for those and large amounts for players of equal ability that were already in England. 2 million plus a player is a very good offer. If they consider this insulting than we should just leave negotiations, we dont exactly desperately need another midfielder

Hibs will * the bed once the England windows closes and he will be a Celtic player before the end of the window, wouldn’t make business sense - they ain’t going to generate £2m any other way!

 

£2m and Allan is the offer we've made is that what we think? Take that now or £0 in January. He's definitely coming this summer.

How we feeling about it? I really rate him, good addition. It's always good to keep a solid

Totally agreed,2 million is peanuts nowadays.

 

The first couple of offers were a little derisory but £2m and Allan for a guy with a year left on his deal is definitely not peanuts.

Question, have I pulled this Allan thing out of my * or is he actually being included in any deal?
