    Rodgers has already commented that he doesn't get involved with the actual negotiations, but I'm sure this deal will get done in this window. Our squad and our manager clearly rate him highly, so I want this to go through sooner rather than later.

    Think if and when he comes, we need to let him be John McGinn.. Scott Brown at 22 doesn’t come near to the the Scott Brown of now.. the comparisons are unfair on him.. they are different types of players with different attributes..

    McGinn wouldn't walk into our team anyway so need for him to play in the qualifiers. McGinn will know with the comments from Rodgers & Broony that we really want him so Celtic have the upper hand here. Either they accept 2 million or we wait till January & save 2 million.

    With everyone fit he doesn’t start for me.. don’t get me wrong I’ve wanted him for two seasons now, but we shouldn’t expect too much from him right away.

    Will need to get used to the demand and consistency required of being a Celtc player first..

    Don't think McGregor is ever a midfield enforcer, so have to disagree. We all know what Brown does, and when he's not in the team it's obvious. Not saying McGinn is anywhere near Brown yet, but we don't have many that can give the physical presence that Brown has. McGinn has a bit of that about him.
