He dropped him because managers tend to go with things thats worked for him in thee past and samaras has worked for him in the past at ibrox.

lenny * up with his selection, and a dont just mean up front, even playing our best centre half in left mid was a pure * up, but you saying he dropped stokes because they squared up at falkirk donkeys ago is ridiculas :50:

And lennon signed stokes not our majority share holder, ffs when does he ever pump money into the club.

The only players asked about from the folk I know was Ledley and whether or not Commons was on the bench.

Commons has been brutal since pre-season, it was too early to throw in a young lad like Matthews into a game like that, as well a the fact Wilson hasn't done anything to deserve being dropped. As for Maj, I love the guy's heart and passion, but he's a big clumsy *. Him and Loovens are as useless as each other.

I can't understand this at all to be truthful. Matthews is nearly 20, and is a Welsh Internationalist.

Shaun Maloney made his debut against Rangers at 17.Rangers have played sixteen and seventeen year olds against us in the past. What's with all the ageism ? If you are good enough, you are old enough

i know he * up & i could forgive him if it was the 1st time but its far from it

well my gut feeling is theres still ill feeling between the 2

have you saw the charity videos the players & lennon did at xmas?? lenny takes the * outta stokes & stokes only ( albeit light heartedly)

why not drop hooper instead this time if he was determined to use his 'masterplan' again???

truth is my guess is as good as yours & the only truth here is Lenny has made yet another balls up yet still we have people on here defending him

yet at least there is some finally seeing the light.. it wasnt that long ago i was getting called a hun on here for pointing out that i didnt think Lennon can cut it as boss

id have loved him to prove me wrong for the sake of Celtic.. but i cant see it!

Don't worry about it oranBhoy. I got called a fucken nutter for wanting Craig Levein instead of Lennon, we will see who will have the last laugh.
I remember all my Ranger's supporting workmates at the time where all praying that Lennon got the job, because they were convinced Lennon would * it up.

Regardless what you think of Neil Lennon, Craig Levein is not, and never was, the answer.

Jack, it's a matter of opinion. We will just have to agree to disagree.
I think Craig Levein would have done far far better than Lennon.

I woulda played ledley i spose and loovens isnt my fav players BUT I am sick of samaras being blamed for everythingi have mentioned in numerous threads i accept his faults but jesus credit were credits due he was ok on sunday and does a decent job when played which isnt that often but thats one of the reasons i hate coming on here after defeats because for some its the same old threads blaming the same players for everything. I have to admit at the best of times i think john is controversial for the sake of it and his language here is more of the same in my opinion

Lost a lot of respect for him after that. He's more than right to have his own opinion but when a lot of it was bullshit that's not right IMO.

Sorry mate - I was just taking the examples of the players the poster I replied to used. :50:

Many of us were indeed asking why Forrest, the only real player in the team with pace, wasn't in the team (some mentioned his inability to know how to track back).

He's just parroting what a lot of folk were saying after the game.

Where were all the hordes of folk on here before the game, saying "Maj must start" ?

Where were all the hordes of folk before the game, saying "Matthews must start" ?

Where were all the hordes of folk saying "Commons must start, he's been bang on form" ?

Nowhere, that's where. It's kneejerk reaction, caused by inability to see * all past a defeat by Rangers.
I hope to * the players are not spitting the dummy and panicking like so many on here...

Don't think I singled out SAmmy and Loovens, although why persist when they never turn up. I criticised the team selection. Not having Ledley and Stokes on the park was a mistake Hence team selection was wrong. Team never showed up and the buck stops with Lennon.
I think Hartson was saying what most Celtic fans have been; why play Sammy and Loovens? Why drop Stokes and Ledley, 2 of our best players?
