Do you think that we need a target man type of player joehill? I dont see Heskey being as prolific goalscorer as Hartson.

I rather see Zigic or Kranjcar come here, if a replacement is deemed necessary

Replaced by Beattie, miller or Riordan... yes.

Strachan is not stupid. He knows the style of play he wants to play and knows he needs TWO mobile strikers in order to be succesful. If Hartson goes then it definitely means Paul Telfer will never see the light of day in a celtic shirt again. Thank the lord

John Hartson still holds all the cards. If he doesn't want to go he doesn't have to.

But Celtic must have another striker in mind if they are willing to part company with Big John.

I would still keep him, we still need an aerial threat which the others strikers don't have.

Sorry Dempsey mate but i really don't think we could pull off the transfer of Zigic because of all the other clubs in for him unless you know something i don't :celt_2:

As said before i think we need a target man it gives you options esp in the CL

22y old Carlton Cole has not been mentioned yet surely a 6ft3' stricker with loads of pace should be considered, only 2 million.

Are you lot forgetting about Craig Beattie.............................

He has good aerial ability, pace, movement and passing. You'll understand what I mean next season

Don't think BBJ missed a game this season due to injury.

Exactly my thoughts! We have seen some great moments from BBJ and he has been a true Celt but the time's they are a changing and we need more mobility in the final third! If it frees up £32,000 a week then i am sure we can find another more mobile target man to compliment our pacy forwards!

Thanks again John for Vigo, Anfield and all the Huns goals!

What are you trying to say? BBJ has never been injured in his career? I think you'll find he had a massive back problem which kept him sidelined for a bit. Henrik Larsson, Maloney, Beattie have all had time on the sidelines with injuries. Beattie will shine next season, mark my words

its still like 2 million down the drain if you take the wages we paid him since january into account also.
