    No it wasn't. His opinion at the time was fair. Don't forget Johansen was putting in some absolute disgrace performances earlier in the season. Players will get stick for that and rightly so...

    Just like they'll receive praise as Johansen is getting right now and fully deserves it.

    I don't know how you can get excited about this player. He gets 100% support from Deila and plays every game, so ofcourse once in a while he will have a good or even great moment which will excite people. Accordingly he is an amazing passer, but I don't buy that. As I said, he plays every game so he will deliver a great ball here or there. But for every great ball there are 10 * ones.

    Call me pessimist but I think this player is just average, nothing more.

    I think he can pick out some nice passes now and again but I think we need someone more consistent in that position, who can slip balls through packed defences time and time again. I've been suggesting someone like that since the first day I signed up to this forum, it's a style of player we have been missing for years.

    A * Fabregas if you like.

    I do like Johansen though.

    Good long ball player and has that "engine/energy" people love going on about, but he's not a creative player. Him and Brown and Bitton all in the same team = lack of flair.

    That would involve moving Johansen back beside Broony where he was gash earlier in the season.

    Who would be a football manager trying to fit all these players into his team.

    Johansen is awful in the holding position and totally wasted. In a diamond type formation everybody seems to want to see he'd be the guy in behind the strikers. He's certainly not just a long ball guy, he just needs to be allowed to push on and played through the centre.

    Nah play him in thr same position as we did last season in the diamond. On the left of a three, let him use his energy to get forward and support from there, leave the player behind the striker with someone with a killer instinct on goal. That's Commons right now, wouldn't complain if we bought another midfielder who could skelp 30 goals in a season to play there though.


    We struggle to score goals just now, so get goalscorers on the pitch.
