I think your being overly cynical there Fiesta, why shouldnt Celtic be interested? Talent-wise he'd be suitable for the top 4 in England, and certainly has been pushing for a go at centre mid for the national side. However with his disciplinary record its clear why the biggest teams won't touch him. Can you see him going to the likes of Reading or Blackburn?

He's a fantastic player and suitable for Celtic in my eyes, but whether Strachan is interested is debatable.

 

i agree that as a player he'd be very well suited to our needs but untill celtic put in an offical bid i will slate talk off it. because of the reason above, its what will sell papers. i do like a bit of speculation and roumer if theres some thruth in it but who never seen this one coming? its the same with martin oneil coming in for maloney, boruc, and theres no doubt there'll be the same for aiden mcgeady.

 

I couldnt give a * about the England International Team, McClaren is a fool. Barton is an average player hyped up by sections of the English media, thats all. They want to think that their are constantly producing good players despite the FA youth development system for english football beginning to fall flat on its *.

Yeah the English national team is a pile of *, personally I think it was run by neither McLaren or Sven but whoever was/is running it seems to have a set team that refsues to acknowledge that Gerrard and Lampard work. However the very fact that Barton has been considered (well thats what the media tells you) to replace one of them (Lampard probably) shows his quality. Even though him being replaced was never a possibility.

The fact is Barton is an awesome player, perhaps a poor mans Steven Gerrard flawed by his temperament.

 

Joey Barton is a wee *, but he's a cracking player and i'd take him in a second. He's got a fire in him that's getting rarer and rarer and it could make him an absolute hero up here

Roy Keane is a rock in a dressing room, Bellamy just goes off the rails when drinking, generally he is grand guy. This guy is a loon with no stretch of the imagination.
