Im no fan of the media but would it be a lie to say that in his short time in football Barton has:

1)Beat the ever loving crap out of a teenager and stubbed a cigarette into his eyes.
2)Beat the ever loving crap out of a teammate (from behind, like a coward)
3)Punched a player in the gut (then acted like it was a slap)
4)Almost took Xabis legs off
5)Used a homophobic slur (which would get you fired from any other job)
6)Kicked a player in the crotch
7)Grabbed a player by the collar and wrung him by the neck, then DOVE to get him sent off.
8) Last day of the season's shenanigans against Man City.

Being totally honest, I'd take him in a minute, ok he's a hotheaded *, but if it's true that Lenny wants him, Lenny must think he could handle Barton, or he wouldn't touch him with bargepole. Let's all no forget, Lenny was by no means an angel, not saying he was as wild as Barton is, but who gave his all every time he pulled our famous hoops on. Barton, would come to us in a minute, and he would carry a heavy emotion for the club. A big risk by both parties, but one I'd be backing, but only if Lenny knew he could handle him

 

I think every manager that has signed Barton would have thought they could control him. The pressure of playing for us is probably more than most clubs he has played for and I am not sure he would be able to control himself in any game where we were up against it.

 

I would take him, he isn't that bad and he's certainly no Diouf. He will be much less likely to get into bother without the Old Firm game as well.

 

I would take him, sure Lennon can handle him! Think he'd be a great player for us, we all know theres no question over his talent, just discipline!
