I hope to see more of Ledley playing like he did against Aberdeen as I'm sure he can replicate the form he had at Cardiff:50::shamrock:

cheers mate, i think some of the criticism is harsh, at cardiff he was expected to run in behind more but i think he has a more disciplined box-to-box role same as kayal and they compliment eachother perfectly, ki has alot of work to do to get back into the side.

Joe has been excellent one of the best passers of the ball we have within our squad . he is getting better and better and will continue to improve * back the lad .

He has not put a foot wrong since coming here and he loves the club and wants to do well you can see that from him , the fact Lennon rates and him and gives him the praise says it all for me.

    Good post and fair enough:50:

I hope to see him improve to the player he was last season. The only reason I don't rate him as highly as you all do is because I don't see him on the ball enough compared to he was last season at Cardiff.

But yeah can't complain, most matches he's played we've won recently.

People don't seem to rate him because he "doesn't get stuck in," but to be fair when you are playing between Kayal and Brown you could easily be over shadowed by these two when it comes to aggression.

However Ledley plays a very different role to Kayal and Brown, he is the main player in the middle of the park for us. His passing is calm and composed and he very rarely puts a foot wrong. He also has the ability to get beyond the strikers and make good runs into the box and also he can spray a pass which he demonstrated at Ibrox.

Obviously Lennon has asked him to play a different role to the one he was used to at Cardiff, which he has adapted to nicely and by doing so his disciplined and tidy play allows Kayal, Brown and Ki more freedom to play their own games and get forward more. This in my opinion is quite similar to the role that Sergio Busquets plays for Barcelona.

... and the exciting thing is I believe he has much more to offer the team and will get better with every game.

His sublime assist to set up Sammy's goal at Ibrox.

I think Ledley has been great for us, and the best thing is we've still to see him at his best. A lot of our good forward play gets channeled through him.

He seems to be important to our system however i think he can do more, looks better alongside king kayal but then again so does everyone.

Must be doing something right playing week in and week out for current spl leaders with the best goal difference. Has never been singled out as a problem. He just does the simple things right like lennon as a player.

I don't know whether or not Ledley is better than Ki, but I don't think Ki should be brought straight back in. Ledley's doing great at the moment, why change a winning set up?

Imo Ki is better than Ledley offers far more penetration tbh, but that doesn't mean ledley is a bad player, just means i think Ki is better.

I think some of ledleys play has been overstated a bit, for example the pass to sammy was glorious but people are holding on to that one bit to prove to themselves hes played great this year. fact is he hasn't played great hes been good.
yes ledley doesn't do many things wrong but he needs to add to his game by controlling it more often rather than playing the simple side pass.

Players like Ledley are needed in every team to do the simple things yet Ki is a better passer of the ball than ledley and offers much more in attack. As you may notice Ki is my fav player at celtic so of course i want him starting every week but people who say Ledley has been great or fantastic this season are overstating because he hasn't been great hes been good, and i look forward with much anticipation when ledley plays to his full ability because then we will have a right good player on our hands.

In my opinion, there are fine margins between our CMs. I think it would be best if we use rotations and start ones that show the best conditions at a given moment.

I think Ledley is only showing now in the last few games that he is the player we thought he might be. His work is unshowy, he tries to keep it simple and he covers well. I think along with Kayal that is our strongest CM pairing. Ki has been playing well, but I feel when he is on the ball the game slows down too much, and we play better at pace. It may be a coincedence that since Ki left, our game has speeded up and we have looked far better for it. Kayal, along with Ledley and Brown are far more energetic in the centre of the park.
