The player's looking for a move. I'd let him have it.

Can someone point out where there is evidence of Joe Ledley wanting a move.

CELTIC chiefs fear midfielder Joe Ledley could leave the club at the end of the season for nothing, as the Welsh international has not yet agreed a new deal.
Ledley, who has scored 18 goals in 95 appearances for Celtic, is out of contract in the summer and has been a key player under manager Neil Lennon.
Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell confirmed in September that the club had opened talks with the former Cardiff ace, but the Daily Express are reporting that little headway has been made in convincing Ledley to sign a new deal with the club.
Ledley, who has made 46 appearances for Wales, could enter into pre-contract negotiations in January, and after leaving The Bluebirds for nothing in 2010, Celtic fear he could repeat that by leaving the Hoops at the end of his contract.
English Premier League sides Everton, and former employers Cardiff are both interested in the midfielder following a string of impressive performances for Celtic and Wales, and while Lawwell was keen to strike a quick deal with Ledley, the chances of him extending his stay appear slim.
Ledley hinted during the summer that he could make a decision on his future based on which players left the club, and with Victor Wanyama, Gary Hooper and Kelvin Wilson already departed, and Fraser Forster likely to be the next to go, the Welshman - who is one of the club’s highest earners - could exit Celtic in the summer months. The club’s wage constraints also mean the chance of a vastly improved deal is unlikely.
Celtic remain in talks with Georgios Samaras, whose contract is also up in the summer, while Portuguese cracks Benfica were linked with Forster in August.

The way these contracts are dragging he may not be the only one.

I thought his performance at the weekend was a huge improvement. He passed the ball forwards not just sideways! Give him a few more games and he might be back to his box-to-box best.

We should really have sorted this contract before now, as soon as options like Everton start getting mentioned his head will turn. And I don't think Lenny and Lawwell banging on about selling players will have done much good either - he will be asking himself if Celtic's main aim is to turn a profit, if he would not be better off in the English Premier.

I think he'll be off in the summer unfortunately. Scary to think that in less that 2 months he'll be free to talk to other clubs.

He'll be a difficult guy to replace if he does go, he's been one of the most consistent members of the team for a number of years now.

He should've got the contract ages ago when he was saying how happy he was....no players contract should be left this late and that's down to the penny pinching from the board....AGAIN!

I think he'll be gone in the summer

Don't know why we leave these to drag on for so long. Months ago he came out saying he wanted a new contract and how he was happy here, this time 2 months he could be on his way out. Shocking.

Players usually say what the fans want to hear. You shouldn't put to much faith in him saying that.

The fact is he is already one of the clubs highest paid players and given how sensibly we run the ship it is unlikely he will get much more. Ledley will be looking out for number one, which means in January he will look to see how much money he can make elsewhere and decide then whether he is willing to match the terms offered here.

Why else would both parties be saying they want a new contract, but neither party is willing to blame the other - its because there us still a chance he'll stay.

To be honest he is replaceable.

I would rather he stayed, but it wouldn't be the end of the world for me.

We'll miss him big time if he leaves, despite the bandwagoners and their pitchforks following him around at the moment.

Really hope we can give him a new contract, he's a class player. Unfortunately due to the current wage structure I doubt we could offer him too much more than what he's on right now.

Seriously, I wouldn't bother if Ledley signed for Sevco. I really mean that. He's like a ghost in the matches.
