I love Joe Ledley, absolute work-horse and consistently puts in good performances.

Total bargain for us and could become a hero among our support.

He's a good player but he wouldn't get a game for Man Utd.

I think he easily would. Think he's better than Carrick, more consistant than Anderson and would be a decent partner for either Cleverly or Scholes.

If he moved there he would be on Darren Fletcher's level within about a year I'd say.

    Not on recent form

Better and more consistent than Anderson definitely. He would be a very handy player for United, a good player technically and a hard worker

Bar Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham & Liverpool, he would slot into any other Premier League midfield in my opinion. Still can't believe we pinched him on a free.

    Cracking business.

I just don't see it with Carrick at all, he frustrates the life out of me. I know you Man Utd fans have been raving about him but I just don't see it with Carrick whatsoever, never quite hit the heights that he was promising when you guys gubbed Roma 7-1 which was showed Carrick's sort of potential.

There's a reason he hardly plays for England when they are crying out for a classy passing midfielder. Which he supposidly is.

I reckon give Ledley and Carrick 2 years at Man United, Ledley would be the one who plays more.

They're two completely different midfielders, Carrick sits deep, sprays the ball about, he might make a run forward but it is very rare. He has been fantastic this season

Ledley is an all action midfielder, expected to get forward regularly and also defend. He is very good at what he does

    It's hard to compare them

I do think that Ledley would get a game for United though, maybe not straight away but after a year or so

I think Ledley would get a game at Liverpool too. Adam and Spearing before Ledley? no danger. Although when Lucas comes back it would be a battle for places.

    Gerrard when fit?

I would think Gerrard and Lucas would be first pick.

Don't get me wrong, Ledley would certainly be fighting for a spot in there.

Superb yesterday love the guy, 8 goals this season which is good and most of them goals have been huge.

Saying yesterday he came up here to win medals and money isn't important, to me that's the way footballers should be. Super Joe deserves poty imo.

My POTY, he has been our big game player the entire season and at numerous positions. 8 goals as well despite playing left back for a large chunk and every one of them an important goal.

I love the guy. Only has his left foot but that's a minor complaint really.

I think it's more prominent with left footers due to how awkward it sometimes looks. Thommo was the same as is Mulgrew as was Guppy.

Not only is he a terrific player but seems like a terrific bloke as well- always quiet and unassuming, doesn't get involved in confrontational stuff and always speaks very well. Hopefully we'll have him around for years to come.

Absolutely love this guy, reminds me so much of the Maestro, the way he seems to always be in total control even when pressured, finds killer passes and most of all the way he conducts himself professionaly both on and off the pitch.
Definetly my fav player for the past 2 years.
