Yesterday in the first half, virtually the whole midfield bar brown were pretty dire to be honest, its difficult for one player to raise their game if their counterparts are also struggling.

tommy docherty,s old statement came to mind as i read about joe ledley being better than paul lambert , the doc was comparing martin buchan with tam forsyth and said it was like a thoroughbred against a clydesdale . paul lambert was an exceptional player the first british player to win the champions league with a foreign club , joe is a decent player but hardly in the class of lambert ,how ever he,s still young so go prove me wrong joe .

Strachan getting the best out of decent players and making them play as a unit.

Was brilliant yesterday I thought, him Commons and Mulgrew were excellent and although it was probably the best team performance of the season stood out above the rest.

    Goal was superb too, Messiesque

The guy is a class act, his winner against the huns was a real highlight for me.

Very intelligent player, always takes up good positions, great work rate etc.

Mr Consistent and has been a great signing for us. 9 goals from midfield too is a good contribution with some very important ones in there not least that winner against the huns. One of those players who can go under the radar to an extent but is absolutely vital to the team.

The 25-year-old said: “This is one of the biggest achievements of my life. It feels amazing to have won the league.
“We have been fantastic this season and we proved it again this time against a very good Kilmarnock team.
“We deserve great credit I think because it’s a great achievement. We’ve played the best football in the SPL.
“Some people have always questioned why I came here but for me there’s no doubt this answers the question.
“The very reason I came up to join Celtic was to win things. I’ve got two medals now and I want more.
“I’ve got another two years on my contract after this season, so I’ve still got a long time to go yet.
“But you never know what can happen in football and I could end up being here for life. If that is the deal, I’ll be very happy.”

You can tell from his on the pitch attitude that he's an honest, hard-working, down to earth footballer. It's always pleasing to get word from the horses mouth though, I'm sure most would be be very happy to have him here for any good length of time. Big fan of him.

    * *, "be here for life" !!!
What a wonderful thing to say.
Very doubtful of course, because of the fact he's not a born and bred Celtic man and because he's so good many other big clubs will want him, but to even say that is brilliant.

I said earlier about Adam Matthews's statement on the Team GB olympic team, you might think it's just posturing for the papers but I think it's great that our players are coming out and saying all the right things.
I really feel we have the start of a legacy here at Parkhead at the minute and there's a number of players who could be here for the long haul.

    Get him signed up.

Forster, Rogne, Mulgrew, Matthews, Izaguirre, Brown, Kayal, Ledley, Ki, Wanyama, Forrest, McGeouch, Twardzik, Stokes and Hooper should all be on 5+ year contracts.
