Its nice to not be worrying about our keeper again, apart from barka no hands we have been spoilt for a while with keepers.

Gianluigi Buffon believes Joe Hart is back to his brilliant best having found true love and a proper home at Celtic.

The Parkhead keeper is enjoying a sensational campaign as the rock on which Ange Postecoglou has built his title charge.

Hart admitted to the Aussie gaffer before he needed love to be a success at the club and his relationship with the fans has blossomed after a string of top-class shows.

The 34-year-old has returned to flying form less than a year after being written-off at the top level and booted out of the Spurs door by Portuguese boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

However, Hart has proved the doubters wrong after a three-year spell in the wilderness prior to move to Celtic.

And the Englishman’s outstanding comeback to the big time has received the ultimate seal of approval from Italian goalkeeping legend Buffon.

The World Cup winner, regarded by some as the best to ever don a pair of gloves, is delighted to see Hart back to peak.

Buffon said: “The way Joe is playing this season is no surprise to me he has always been a great goalkeeper. He just needed a place to call home again.

“He is a player I watched develop and I saw he had everything that was needed to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

It was not that long ago that I called him one of the top three or four goalkeepers in the world.

“Along with (Manuel) Neuer, (David) De Gea and (Jan) Oblak, these guys were the next generation who could take over from myself and (Iker) Casillas.

That player who was No.1 for Manchester City and England didn’t go away. He just needed to find his confidence again.

“I have always said you have to be a little bit crazy to be a goalkeeper because you are so isolated.

“As a defender, you are part of a defence. As a midfielder, part of a midfield. But the goalkeeper is the isolated player on the field.

You make a mistake and all eyes are on you. That is what happened with Joe

He made a couple of mistakes and people just decided he was not top level anymore.

“He needed a bit of love to find his level again and he has obviously got that love at Celtic. The top player is back and it is good to see.

Always wanted him here. You don't become England's no1 and man city's keeper if your average. Glad he came and shut up the doubters.

First to admit, found the appointment weird at the time.

I believed the English attitude that he had completely lost his abilities after going to Torino and dropping down in England.

But the guys clearly been hard done by (not maliciously), with pep coming in to city.

There is levels and expectations. What pep wants from a keeper is one thing, doesn't make Hart a * keeper.

    England's clubs loss, our gain.

You'd reckon his age as well, he will be content to see our his days here now as well.

Happy to have him as our number one.

All we need to do now is get a younger lad in to play understudy and ready to take over fully in a couple years.

Similarities to the gordon deal for us , cost next nothing and came from a time where he had no confidence and kind of fell out of love of the game , i get gordons was injury related and harts was form and being trusted but gordon was a great servant for us and hart has took us another level above again and we are reaping the benefits ! Love how he passes on information and advice ! Can never have too many captains in a team and on the pitch !

Really happy for him, he fell out of love with fitbaw, unwanted in der engurland, discarded and told his best days were behind him, now he feels alive, Ange believes in him, he loves the adulation from supporters, he's enjoying his football once again.

Already earned a few bob in his career, money not his incentive, just wanted to be loved and appreciated, and play football.

Liked the look of him when I saw a B game. I'd 100% be seeing if he can play understudy to Hart over the next couple seasons in expectations to step up.

If we find after s year he's not good enough, so be it find another.

I've seen Tobi make a few brilliant saves in highlights but it's not the brilliant saves that make a keeper - any number of agile lads out there who can pull off the flashy saves. It's getting the basics consistently right, saving all the easy ones, most of the hard ones and some of the impossible ones that matters.

On top of that, you've got to be able to organise the defence.

Having said all that, would love to see him get a chance this year if teh league is already won.
