Joe Hart admits Celtic stars couldn't miss the Green Brigade's banner blast at the board.

But the Hoops shotstopper insists his teammates won't allow themselves to be distracted by the off-field issues. The travelling support made their voices loud and clear at Pittodrie as they protested against the club's hierarchy following an underwhelming January transfer window. Brendan Rodgers admitted the champions could've been "braver" in the market and punters unfurled a banner before and after the 1-1 draw with managerless Aberdeen which read: "Celtic board - on your heads be it.

Fans also chanted "sack the board" and called for chairman Peter Lawwell to walk away after the league leaders dropped more points in the title race, handing Rangers the chance to leapfrop them at the top of the league on Tuesday night - 24 hours before Celtic visit Easter Road. Goalkeeper Hart, 26, understands the fans' frustrations but the vice-captain says the Parkhead side's full focus is on the pitch.

He said: "It’s not a distraction for the players, not at all. We see it, there is no getting away from it - it was a decent-sized banner! But that’s for the support and that’s what they need to work out. As players, we stay focused and the management team and staff have a job to do. And we’re fully focused on that

Ideally, we win that game 4-0 and everybody is smiling and everybody is happy. But it doesn’t work like that. Aberdeen had a lot to prove today and a lot to work on after losing their manager recently. It was always going to be a tough game.

"In the first half, we were very good and could have been out of sight, but weren’t. The second half was then a good game. But the support is there for us. They (the supporters) have come a long way - however far it is from Glasgow - and whoever else people travel from as they do in Europe and around the world. We feel that and appreciate it and put our heart and soul out onto the pitch

Joe Hart will move on in the summer, but he is nowhere near any of the problems we have at the club.

Best player for us Saturday and a good response in that interview to know the players know the support are mad at the board and not them

This board can't be trusted to replace Hart.

Couple of good stops on Saturday. Not sure if he should have been out quicker and read the danger when the boy ran clean through and he saved it with his chest, it was a good stop in the end regardless. The other one with his feet I think was offside anyway, but nonetheless it was a good stop and takes away any doubt. Still had the one moment when it was a simple catch and he tried to punch it.

Spot on. I'm sure there are better options out there that Hart but in a list of stuff to fix, I don't think he would make the top 10. And I wouldn't trust our scouts to find a better replacement in any case.

Said it many times before he's a great shot stopper amd reflex keeper but it's the rest that let's him down. Still a class act of a bloke

Gets far too much stick from most. Yes best days are behind him but he gives everything for the shirt and I can't fault that.

Not sure on that he sees it late, for Welsh should block the shot and someone definitely should have been out in Levitt’s face far quicker but that sums us up just now. No urgency. lacklustre garbage.
