If this is the best the club can find then it just highlights how desperately we need a massive overhaul of our scouting system.

That said, we’re so desperate that I’d absolutely bite your hand off for us to sign him.

He’s miles better than anything we have but absolutely not who we should be looking at signing. He’s been way off it for years.

 

Might be a good option short term, at least he would bring a presence and be vocal.

 

No quarantine, better than we have by a mile. I'd take him even if it was for a year while we look out for a new keeper. I bet his name alone would settle the defenders

I agree it's an improvement on what we currently have and that this is a pure panic buy but my fear is is that he'll be better than Barkas or Bain and the board will look like that's goalkeeper checked off the list until Hart retires when in reality it's a short term fix for a long term problem, like you said.

I don't mind saving money here for the next season but it needs to be a priority area come summer 2022.

Definitely m8. People are saying its a "panic buy" and perhaps it is however, right now we are all panicking about our two so called GK's and are about to start a new season with them in goal so, as you say, no need for quarantine and straight into the team for next weeks game against the mini huns. It might also just be a loan which would give us the breathing space to source another suitable keeper. So, it's a definite yes from me.
