    Joe is a wise man, yes he will be making a great deal of money for this one but if he wins his record in 10 years time will show that he beat 2 of the best fighters of his generation and beat them both.

    Thats exactly my point he's fighting Roy Jones and Hopkins now because he wants their scalps on his record. So he can say, "I was champion for 10 years and beat Roy Jones Jnr and Bernard Hopkins". But what Im saying is, if you fought them 5 years ago Joe you'd be out the game by now cause they'd have taken you easily. Lots of fighters can claim the same thing, Leon Spinks can say that he beat Muhammed Ali, Danny Williams can say that he beat Mike Tyson, * even Evander Holyfield can say that beat George Foreman but like Joe that fact remains that they wouldnt have beat any of these guys in their prime. Joe Calzaghe wouldnt have beaten either B Hop or Roy Jone in their prime - thats my point

    Hopkins himself said the best performance of his entire career was against Pavlik, months after he was beat by Calzaghe. What comeback do you have for that?

    You're working on hypothetical situations, he can't turn the clock back and can only face what is in front of him as he has done. This 'he ducked him' argument rears it's head in boxing all the time, most of the time it's due to the other party wanting more money or the promoters not believing it to be the biggest money spinner at the time. There are very, very few boxers that will duck any fight when asked.

    End of the day Calzaghe is down to earth, media shy and a tremendous boxer...a legend in British boxing.

    Joe will win this no problem, at this point in time he throws far more punches than Roy and i just cant see Roy knocking Joe out. Dont count out a home town decision in favour of Roy or a draw. The 2 of them are already in talks for a rematch in cardiff if Joe fails to win.
