    Here we go again
I heard a story that during a match a Celtic player went down after a clash of heads. The physio was treating him and Big Jock was shouting to get him back on.
The physio said "but boss he doesn't know who he is "
And big Jock said "tell him he's Pele and get him back on "

It was a tough choice between him and Ferguson. I rate Ferguson more for his Aberdeen stuff than anything else. I went for Stein, lead a club with local lads to a big prize, won 9 in a row, a quadruple and died taking his county to a World Cup.

Have no * clue why Dalglish is a nominee.

My uncle and his pal were talking about him to me a while back and saying that despite our success and how great he was.....he could be a right * with our support at time's..

Can't mind the exact words but for the elders....did he regularly go at the jungle or something?

I've heard certain songs and any youngsters on the pitch he would lose his rag..

I believe one of his quotes were.

"Surely there are enough Celtic songs without introducing religion or politics or anything else.

Aye mate I've seen that quote before..

I was shocked at my uncle and his pal. Almost 70 saying how harsh he used to be with the our support and he could be out of order at times..

He got shot down by friends and family for playing for Celtic. I'm not surprised if he hated the religious rivalry aspect.

The Story Of' is a web series dedicated to small but special tales from Celtic’s illustrious history. Here, club legend Bertie Auld recalls what made his European Cup-winning gaffer great.

BERTIE Auld is undoubtedly one of Celtic’s greatest ever players, having enjoyed two spells at the club – the first between 1955 and 1961, and the second from 1965 to '71 as he became an integral part of the ensuing triumph in Lisbon.

Often called ‘the voice of the Lisbon Lions’, Bertie spoke passionately about his time under Jock Stein and outlined why he reckons the legendary manager’s achievements stand alone.

“I don’t need to be reminded of how much time has passed because every time I’m at a game, what he achieved – whether at Celtic Park or away from home – that’s what stays in my mind. I’d think, ‘How would the boss address this?’” Auld told the Celtic View in 2015, ahead of a charity match honouring the Hoops’ European Cup-winning manager.

“There were no gimmicks with him and what you saw of Jock Stein, that’s exactly who the man was, a straight-talker who loved people to entertain. He always spoke about how the most important people were the supporters and that’s what he kept saying to us.

“Before we left the dressing room, he always said ‘ENTERTAIN! This great support has been working hard to get the money to see you play, entertain!’ I’m not kidding you, that word – and that message - feels like it’s been written into the back of my head.

“People talk about managers these days with terms like ‘The Special One’. Well The Boss was a man’s man. A great leveller with a great passion for the game. As far as I’m concerned, what he achieved puts all the rest as runners-up. There was only one man and that’s Mr Stein, The Boss.”

Anyone with audible there’s an audiobook from Archie Macpherson about Jock.

    Highly recommend it.

One of my very first memories of football as a kid was watching Wales v Scotland with my dad, can vividly remember Cooper squeezing in the penalty and my dad celebrating and then squirming through the last 10 minutes.

Then can remember all the news after it, my dad trying to explain what had happened to me but I was only 7 and too young to really understand what was going on - both on and off the pitch.

It's always stayed with me though and I've always felt that wee bit of sadness and remembered that moment every time I hear his name.

    R.I.P.
