Be a great, and smarter signing than Duffy IMO. We haven't seen an entirely healthy Simunovic but when he was on the pitch he was for the most part a solid and steady defender with good passing instincts. Biggest problem is lack of pace which was exposed against St Johnstone. Still think he could be a big player for us. If we signed Duffy, that gives us 3 quality, but slow CB's. Would be good to have this guy to balance out speed and attacking weight the CB's would be expected to carry domestically. Would love this guy.

 

We signed probably the best CB we have had in 15 years from Dutch football. Hereenveen are actually a no bad team. This guy at 19 years old is no risk as at all. He played 37 games last year in a better league than our own so at the very least he would be suitable for Scottish Football. I wouldnt mind Duffy either but we have seen him perform at a decent level for Republic of Ireland against a fairly weakened Italian Team. He played for Blackburn in the championship last year, who finished 16th. They technically would both be risks if that was the case. I would prefer St Juste simply because hes younger, faster and we have slow CBs right now as it is.

 

Disappointed by the lack of apparent activity here

 

I think enraged is a better summary of our current transfer activity. Lack of a centre back signing is utterly dismaying.

 

I'd think we should be doing everything we can do get this guy in. Like the look of him.
