    Jeremy Toljan is about to say goodbye to Borussia Dortmund.


    The right-back previously loaned by BVB to Sassuolo Calcio will continue to play in Serie A in the future: Both clubs have agreed on another loan with a subsequent purchase obligation. Once Toljan has played a certain number of games, he is committed. Sassuolo then pays a transfer fee of five million euros.


    Toljan, whom BVB had contracted from TSG Hoffenheim for seven million euros in 2017, initially left Dortmund on loan to Scotland in January 2019. After six months with Celtic - including championship and cup victory - he moved on to Italy last summer. Since then he has been a regular player at the current twelfth table Sassuolo. In the current season, which has now resumed after the Corona break, the 25-year-old played 24 of the 28 Serie A games (one goal), the third most in the squad.
