Thought he stood up well to Jones, and was defensively solid but looks shaky on the ball at times, which is strange cos I thought he was meant to be stronger attacking rather than defending

Not the answer for me guys.

Genuinely don't see it with him.

Dubbed as a speed merchant, yet to see him actually put that to good use. Doesn't take a man on (and beat him), plays a simple and easy sideways or backwards pass too often (something a lot slated Lustig for) and overall hasn't done anything that has suggested he is a class above Lustig. Or Ralston.
I'd be annoyed if Ralston was being kept out the team to this guy.

This isn't just based off this game, it's his overall time here so far, nothing has made me take notice of him and make me think he has provided us with more than Lustig has done the last year or two.

Wouldn't judge him on that game at all.

That's by far the worst surface in this league, even Fir Park circa 2008 - which was a cabbage patch - was better than that piece of * at Rugby Park.

I go on and on about it but the fickleness is unbelievable :56:

Toljan was a world beater, one poor game and now he’s not the answer.

Broony is brilliant, then done on Thursday now a world beater again today.

These opinions can’t all be right, even at the time.

He’s played 4 and a half games for us ffs. One a game against Valencia.

The majority of the times he’s looked good. His 1-2’s are going to be lethal when Tierney is on the other side taking attention and we are stretching teams. That’s when you’ll see his pace.

Some people in here man :giggle1:

Exactly. And that's off the back of absolutely NO game time at Dortmund. I think he's looked surprisingly sharp considering he's just been warming the bench in Germany.

Yesterday was his worst performance but as others have said, he's probably not played on a pitch like that in years, if ever. It's hardly a top quality surface for top quality football.

Think his poor showing was partly down to the pitch but mostly the horrendous blue boots he was wearing

    He’s a very good player.

If you’d have Lustig back in over him then I’m sorry, but you need the jail.

Most our best play went down the left yesterday, with Hayes being arguably man of the match.
The game was stretched and we were able to use the left side, still didn't see it with him.

He's decent, not gonna say he is a poor player, but for everything everyone slayed lustig for (who isn't the answer and does need replaced) I just ain't seeing it with toljan (yet).

4 and a half games in, considering he is only here for another 16 games, that's accounting for 20% of his time here.
How much time do we give a 5 month loan player?

What do you mean “how much time do we give him”?

Toljan has had one bad game and it can be justified. Lustig hasn’t been good enough for a while now. Toljan gets 5 months. In the summer we either buy him or look elsewhere, Ralston and Lustig aren’t the answer.

I don’t care if you “haven’t seen it” because many others are seeing the positives, as there are a lot more than negatives.

Were you watching him on Thursday? 2 awful games. Anyone with any decent quality wouldn't be nearly that bad. Had the chance to redeem himself yesterday and shat it. Received the ball, ran 5-10 yards forward, then shat it, turned back and played a "safe" pass. Even when there was space to run into. That's got fuckall to do with the park. Yet Hayes on the other side arguably gets MOTM and he's no even a * LB. Even though his touch was horrendous, which could be attributed to the park, he never showed any impetus to get forward. Shitebag. Or can he only do it against St Johnstone?

You can see his class.. it’s blatantly obvious.

Thurs he had no options, they doubled up on that side obviously done their homework on Forrest, there was zero space.

Killie will be the worst surface he’s played on.

He looked happy to be part of things at the end, which hasn’t been the only thing I hadn’t seen until then.

Maybe I'm still annoyed at they way we played on Thursday and yesterday, but the jury is still very much out on him.

Actually think he looks better with Weah who offers more for him, James is tending to hang about inside the middle too much these days.

    Lustig is twice the player.
