And our right back was in middle no man land. He wasn’t as poor as Izzy but not far behind him.

And Jozo and Boyata decided to step up at an odd point in time, decided not to follow a man in but take it back a bit further it’s McGregor * it on the ball and a wee bit further back than that Broony giving it to McGregor when he probably shouldn’t.

The full team was an error tonight. Funny thing is, I think Izzy was actually holding the proper line defensively. Boyata shouldn’t have been stepping out and Jozo shouldn’t have been following bim.

That was a very dangerous game to play. Izzy should be paying attention to what the rest of the defence is doing at that point though and trying to step out as well.

Looks to me like he's still building match sharpness.

I wouldn't be getting excited about him based on tonight, but you have to have some sympathy given he had the Marx brothers alongside him.

    In what respect?

I thought he looked solid and assured. Didn’t offer anything going forward but was he asked to?

Defensively he covered well a couple of times, but he looked iffy on the ball. Gave it away a fair few times and looked rusty.

Like I said, hopefully it's just down to his lack of game time this season.

Rush of blood to the head too many times in the first half when all that was needed was a bit of composure, but it was the lads first 'competitive' game. Doesn't help when Burke is up front by himself and the only avenue to pass the ball is down the line to absolutely nobody.

Maybe a bit of insight tonight why he’s here on loan, I would still take home though as there looks a player there.

Don't think he done bad tonight, all things considered. He looked solid enough defensively and at least tried to go forward most of the time when he got the ball, unlike Izzy.

Most of the time the only option he had available was Forrest up the wing who was crowded out all the time.

Either that or pass it to Boyata or Simunovic, who were pathetic.

    Don’t understand the criticism.

His performance and Izzy’s performance are night and day.

Doesn't look anywhere near Dortmund standard in my opinion, few times his touch was a bit dodgy last night.

Offered nothing going forward but was nothing in front of him for most of the night..

Forrest only really started getting joy later in the second half..

Can't remember him being troubled at all defensively?

Still getting up to speed as well don't forget..

Was far far worse performers out there and he was probably in the least 3 * of the night..
