To be fair, I could shout "fly gandolf" doesn't mean you're suddenly going to be able to do it.

Coaching is not just shouting on the touchline.

Two years the lads been here, no doubt sold a lie of being developed and what not.
He is then given Lennon as a manager who doesn't know one thing about developing talent.

Young lad like frimpong, instant impact with speed and determination, needed coached in to defending better and whipping s cross in.

Did we do either in two years for him? Very much doubt it since we haven't done * for any other player in this time.

Maybe if we sold last summer, with their contracts running down and going by this seasons form I don't think we'll get anything close to that.

 

why would we agree to that man.

That's not coaching I shout the same at the tele and I've not had a job offer from the club ... yet. Lennon has not improved one player since he came in. Our standouts are currently Soro and Turnbull and it the only reason they got a chance was due to our failings in europe

 

Lawwell probably thought he would make up the difference selling French Eddie and Oh My Days t-shirts and phone covers.

 

I think we will bring Odonnell into the end of the season, better defender than frimpong tbh

Bags of talent, not the finished product yet.

Players don't suddenly just become good one day. They need coached and developed.
It's literally why clubs have teams of sport scientists and coaches.

We have barely anything to help these young lads, and what we do have is Strachan with a laptop and a manager more prone to saying "* off" to a young player not wanting to disappoint, than to actually help and coach them.

30% for Frimpong it is.

We agreed to it because we got him for £300k and Man City knew there was a player there that would likely be worth a bit.

If anything it's a good thing that they get a cut as it should open pathways for similar deals in future.

Literally the point of the coaching staff is to coach the players.
Specially younger talent.

If the lads lacking in coachable areas and we aren't seeing any improvement, even though he is an encouraging lad with bags of determination, then it's the coaching that's the issue 9 times out of 10.


No doubt some will say he just had a bad attitude though...

Can understand that one, it’s the Eddy one that seems mental. Paid £9m for him big risk if he didn’t work out, and if he does like he did tbf up until recently we are never gonna sell for huge money being a team playing in Scotland.
