Ridiculously harsh criticism to be honest. Our whole team for the majority of the season have been * gash, and that includes the "consistent" and our most experienced players. Were you one of those guys who thought Elhamed was the second coming of Zambrotta? Frimpong hasn't made as many high profile * ups as he has and has way more minutes under his belt and 10 years less experience.

Frimpong isn't perfect, but he's performed better than most of the team since the season kicked off. Especially early on, he was by far our best player. Guy has just turned 20 and in his second season as a first team professional. I think he can be excused for some poor decision making and an inconsistent end product, given that he is in a team bereft of confidence run by a bunch of clowns.

There's some players that deserve the stick, Frimpong is the least of our worries at the moment.

Maybe I am being overly harsh, but it comes from a place of knowing what the boy can do and seeing him fall short. To me he is all about attacking full backs at pace, yet somehow he rarely seems willing to do it anymore. Take that out his game and I see nothing else he shines at.

For what it's worth i don't put it all at his door, the coaching staff are ruining him the same way they are most other players.

To be fair to lennon he kept screaming at him to take on his man last night. Most times he ignored him.

He's always out of position cos every week he's being played in a different position. Give him a run at right back and we'll see the old Frimpong back

I know what you mean but to be fair I think it's just a confidence issue.

I still don't see him as a RB. He's far too small, too easily brushed aside and his positioning sense isn't great. I honestly don't know where he should be played but it's not RB

That's how I see it as well. Could well turn into a decent player for us but it's not at RB which is definitely a problem for us. Had hoped he would show a bit more last night but thought other than the goal he was poor.

With Elhamed looking like he is off not sure what that means. Ajers played well there but we need him at CB more.

Thought he was a breath of fresh air there last season. He only turned 20 this month, he's still got time to bulk up and work on his positioning

Lenny needs to wake up fast with Frimpong for the next few games, he cannot be trusted to be our starting RB towards the rest of the season, he has too many flaws within his game for that position & has a lot to learn.

It's now crunch time, his area of the pitch will be targeted because teams know that he gets dragged out to the ball & leaves the space behind him, the RB area has been regularly exploited this season & it's all down to Frimpongs lack of positional awareness/discipline because he lacks experience. With his pace & ability to beat a man he has lots of potential, but he needs to develop more on the training ground rather than in the first team due to the magnitude of this season & with the league situation being the way it is (i.e no more points can be dropped).

Ajer should continue at RB as a stop gap until a new RB is signed in January because Frimpong still has a lot to learn, Elhamed isn't in the right mental space and Ralston isn't good enough.

That leaves Duffy or Bitton at CB between now & a new RB being signed and my choice would be Bitton.

    Ajer Jullien Bitton Laxalt

That's the back four I'd play over the next three games.

Hes been rubbish recently. I always thought he would be better one forward like the Forrest or Robert's role but his final ball is terrible. Still a player. Just needs coached better. Get the laptop oot

Been saying it since he got here he's not a RB, should be rotating with Forrest at right mid/wing, it's games he's on the front foot that he's looked his best, defenders always struggle with his pace when he actually goes at them. Elhamed or Ajer at RB.

Roma are planning a potential bid for Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong - but need the Hoops to lower their asking price, according to a report.

The Serie A giants want to sign a new right back and Frimpong is highly-rated, but Celtic's asking price of €15million (£13.7m) is too much for them.

Gazetta dello Sport say Paolo Francesca is a big fan of the defender and will hold talks with the Roma hierarchy about potentially doing a deal for the former Man City youngster.

Frimpong has been a sensation since moving north of the border and being afforded an opportunity in the first team, and has made 27 appearances in all competitions this season.

His only goal of the campaign came on the opening day of the season and the 20-year-old has struggled at times, like the whole of Neil Lennon's team.

But Roma are still big fans of his and the report states that he's one of three players who are on the wanted list for The Giallorossi.

They are also looking at FC Dallas kid Bryan Reynolds and Becir Omeragic of FC Zurich.

I still don't get why he is so reluctant to take the ball to the bye line. He has both the pace and the skill but, very seldom does it. Maybe he has caught the "Celtic full back disease" of cutting back inside and/or passing the ball backwards so the attack can start all over again.

Big John Hartson made a great point the Ross County game. The lack of numbers in the box makes the full backs play it safe, and use the players in and around the box.

They look up, see only Eddy in there and about 8 * opposition players and think, even if I beat him, how will I get it to him.

The more guys we get in the box, Frimpong especially, is more willing to take it by his man into the box and get it to those who can put it in the net.

It's a numbers thing too, he doesn't have a natural winger along side him so often he's doubled up on, but that means someone in the middle is unmarked, so it can make more sense to play it back inside.

I felt he did take on his man often when he was 1 on 1, including for the pen for the first goal, and for Griffiths header that hit the post. And you could see him doing it more often as the game wore on

That's true. We never seem to push players into the box to provide an option. When we do (as in the Turnbull goal against County and leading to yesterdays penalty) it does cause problems for the opposition defence.

Aye, it wasn’t just Turnbull in there for his goal yesterday, it was McGregor who put the ball in from in the box, Eddy at the front post, Turnbull in the middle and 2 at the back post.

That's what we all want to see - a bit of hunger and the players making the effort to get into the box. As that wee rodent always says - simples!

That may be true but even so it is difficult to remember him putting a cross in at all from the byline.

Full backs going to the byline also pull players to them and give others space and a wee bit more time to get into the box. May well be by not hitting the byline fewer make those runs too.
