    Everybody says that we can't go in to Europe next season with Griffiths and Scepovic because they haven't proven themselves in European competition; the statistics suggest that this guy has.

    If you had told me a few years ago we would have had Guidetti and then Vossen I would have creamed myself. Now I'm not excited by it at all. Watched Middlesbrough a good few times this season and although decent, Vossen never really stood out. Completely outshone by Bamford.

    I think he is absolutely ideal for us. He will easily get 20 goals for us in a season if he doenst get injured. The best thing about him is his European goal scoring record. How many players have we bought that has scored 12 in 24 games in the Europa league and 5 in 10 in the Champions league. These figures obviously include qualifiers, but thats 17 european goals in 34 games and he is only 26. So he scored that many before he was 25 years old. He was also Genk's captain for a good while, again at a young age. He has also just had a season in Middlesborough so he wont have to adjust quite as much. Honestly can't believe he is available so cheap.

    Jelle Vossen. First thing that springs to mind is FM, goals galore with him in the game.

    Never watched The Championship(terrible football and overrated like the EPL),so I took to YouTube for a peak at some videos from last season and through his time with Genk. 15 plus goals a season for Genk, then shipped to Middlesborough on loan with £3 million purchase price. Not sure the reasons behind the transfer, given his goal record.

    He can finish,He takes up good positions in the penalty and clever movement inside the area, always looking for the opportunity to score. Decent pace(majority of the action was within the penalty area) and decent in the air.

    In saying that 9 goals in 30 odd games in the Championship isn't exactly stellar and a record to pin your hopes of European Football. Middlesborough didn't take up the purchase option, which raises some questions.

    From the video clips, it shows he has ability. Shows the signs of someone who would score 10-15 plus domestically.

    How keen is he to come to Celtic?? How much are we willing to pay for him, is another matter.
